Jim Jordan has drawn first blood against Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg
0:06
Folks, my name is Carmine Sabia and this is Explain America. Before we get started
0:11
please like, comment, share, and subscribe to the video. It really helps a small channel like ours
0:17
grow. Folks, Alvin Bragg has had a really rough time in these past few weeks since bringing the
0:26
indictment against Donald Trump and subsequently the arraignment against former President Donald
0:30
Trump. Now, yesterday we showed you a video that showed Alvin Bragg essentially vowing to get
0:37
Trump when he was campaigning for District Attorney. A lot of people have talked about
0:42
him saying these things, but not many people have actually showed the evidence we showed last night
0:47
If you missed that, please check our Explain America page and you'll see that video
0:53
If you didn't miss that, you know exactly what I'm talking about. And now we know that Bragg has used federal funds in his investigation into Donald Trump. That's now
1:03
a known fact because he's admitted it. So, Jim Jordan wants to have either Alvin Bragg or people
1:11
from Alvin Bragg's office come before the House Judiciary Committee and testify and explain
1:17
what federal funds were used. Now, this would make it a congressional issue because federal funds
1:24
were used in this. So, Congress has every right to get involved and figure out exactly what the
1:30
federal funds were used for, why they were used, and to what end they were used. So, Alvin Bragg
1:36
decided he didn't want to do that and he didn't want anybody from his office to do that. A lot
1:41
of people would say that's Alvin Bragg running scared. And to this reporter, it does look like
1:46
Alvin Bragg running scared. So, Alvin Bragg sued to not have to do that and to get Jim Jordan off
1:52
his back because right now, Jim Jordan is riding him like a jockey in the Kentucky Derby
1:58
Unfortunately for Alvin Bragg, he lost. He lost the first battle. The court of the Southern
2:04
District of New York, a judge at the court, decided not to issue a temporary restraining
2:09
order or a TRO to stop Jordan from continuing his investigation. This is a significant blow
2:16
to Alvin Bragg. Now, they're going to have to meet in front of this judge and in front of the Southern
2:21
District of New York to determine the actual outcome of this case. But even then, it could
2:27
go further than that and it probably will go further than that because there probably will be appeals
2:32
Look, something like this is unprecedented. It's never happened before. A former president
2:36
a current president has never been prosecuted, has never had this kind of heat brought on them
2:42
by a party so determined to take them out before the next election that it borders on the ridiculous
2:49
Alvin Bragg is at the front line of this because Alvin Bragg put himself at the front line of this
2:54
and now he has to deal with the heat from that. And so, while Jordan drew first blood, it won't
2:59
be the only thing that happens in this case that's going to affect one side or the other. So, we're
3:05
going to have to stay tuned and watch this as the battle lines have been drawn and the fight
3:10
continues. Battle one, congratulations, Jim Jordan. Jordan won, Bragg zero. But let's see where this
3:17
leads, folks, because I have a feeling, well, Alvin Bragg's not going to like where this is going
3:23
Again, folks, I'm Carmine Sabia. This is Explain America. We thank you so much for watching us
