0:34
out president Donald Trump has announced
0:37
his plans to
0:40
Pardon well arguably the greatest
0:43
baseball player in the history of
0:45
baseball Pete Rose does this mean Pete
0:49
Rose goes into to the National Baseball
0:51
Hall of Fame where he rightfully belongs
0:53
I don't know I don't think it would have
0:55
a bearing on it and I know that somebody
0:58
from the Hall of Fame actually said
0:59
we're not in the par hard in business
1:01
but let's take a look real quick at what
1:04
Pete Rose was guilty of what he was
1:07
found guilty of now this is not talking
1:08
about his criminal case which was about
1:12
taxes but this is talking about his
1:14
Major League Baseball situation Pete
1:17
Rose was found by baseball to be guilty
1:20
of betting on his own
1:22
team now a lot has been made about he
1:25
bet on baseball he bet on baseball and I
1:26
think people
1:28
assume that because he bet on baseball
1:30
he bet against his team and then
1:32
purposely lost games it's not true what
1:35
he did was he bet on himself he bet on
1:38
his team winning
1:40
so you know I failed I understand
1:43
There's No gambling in baseball but I
1:45
failed to see what requires a lifetime
1:49
permanent even Beyond his life cuz Mr
1:52
Rose passed away a permanent ban from
1:55
the game of baseball they're talking
1:56
about the alltime hits leader nobody has
1:59
more hits than Pete
2:01
Rose he's betting on his team he has
2:04
confidence in his team again I
2:06
understand it's a rules
2:07
violation but I don't think it's so
2:10
horrific that it would require a
2:12
lifetime ban it doesn't make sense to me
2:14
and maybe one of you who understands
2:16
more about this than I do okay I'm not
2:19
an expert on this topic can explain it
2:21
to me because to me it seems silly I
2:25
understand that there should not be
2:26
gambling in baseball I get the reasons
2:29
for that I understand that but betting
2:32
on your own team doesn't seem like it
2:34
requires a lifetime and Beyond ban to me
2:37
you took the sport away from him you
2:39
took away managing from him you took
2:41
away him participating in the sport that
2:43
he loved that he dedicated his life to
2:47
you took that away from the man until
2:48
his dying day you didn't let him get the
2:51
spot in the Hall of Fame that he richly
2:54
richly deserved because let's face it
2:56
betting on baseball didn't get him to be
2:58
the oldtime hits leader
3:00
he's the alltime hits leader because he
3:02
was that good at playing the game of
3:05
baseball so it doesn't seem to make
3:08
sense to me and I know Trump see a lot
3:09
of people think Trump is this vengeful
3:12
figure this guy who wants Vengeance and
3:14
Justice and of course he wants justice
3:16
but he's a forgiving man and he's a guy
3:20
who sees something and he sees a wrong
3:23
being done and he wants to write it he
3:25
feels it's his obligation to write it
3:27
it's when you look at the first step Act
3:30
what he did for so many people who were
3:32
convicted of nonviolent crimes were
3:34
Model citizens it was their first
3:36
offense he gave them a away back into
3:39
society into a life again he pardoned
3:42
people that were guilty of crimes that
3:45
maybe it was their first offense or
3:46
maybe it wasn't such a horrible crime
3:48
and he pardoned those people he he likes
3:50
to give Second Chances and unfortunately
3:53
he can only give this one
3:55
postumus but I think it's a great idea
3:57
and I think you're going to see a lot of
3:58
Democrats even on board with this I
4:01
would love to know what you guys think
4:02
about this so let me know your opinions
