Hey ladies and gentlemen, this is Carmine Sabia for Explain America and Megan Kelley
0:04
just unleashed a bombshell about the ongoing war between Fox News and Tucker Carlson and
0:11
what she believes is behind it. Folks, before we get started, I want to ask you to please remember to like, comment, share
0:17
and subscribe. That kind of stuff really helps us out and it really helps to bring the conservative
0:22
message to more people because they get to see our videos more. So you guys helping, that really helps us and we do so appreciate it
0:29
Folks, Megan Kelley was on her SiriusXM show, The Megan Kelley Show, where she talked about
0:35
Irena Berganti. Now, she's the Senior Vice President of Communications for Fox News
0:40
And what she said was that Ms. Berganti was launching a slow drip, drip, drip war against
0:46
Tucker Carlson, but more importantly than that, that Fox News and Ms. Berganti are losing
0:52
Now, Megan used some strong language in describing Berganti, who she has also dealt with
0:58
But she said that everybody at Fox News hates this woman and that this woman equally hates
1:03
Tucker Carlson, which would explain the, like I said to you in yesterday's video, how did
1:08
this video get saved? Why would it get saved? Who would save it
1:12
And then why would you leak it to Media Matters for America, a far, far, far, far left news
1:17
organization whose mission it is to destroy Fox News? Why would you do that
1:23
What is the plan? And if you remember yesterday, I said to you, it feels like there was some kind of sabotage here
1:28
Well, now Megan Kelly is shedding light on what I said yesterday and seems to be going
1:33
along with my hypothesis on this. Now let's take a look at this and see what Megan had to say
1:39
I want to say again, it's a little colorful language in here. So be careful for that
1:43
She does drop the F-bomb. So again, be cognizant. Meanwhile, Media Matters for America, which I'm sure you know, Haya, is, its whole existence
1:53
is to hate on Fox News and now more broadly, conservative media
1:57
Now that Fox doesn't have the monopoly it once did. Media Matters for America releases another mysterious outtake of Tucker on set speaking frankly
2:11
This happened last week. Two videos were released by whomever could it be, Irina, to the New York Times saying
2:18
one in one, he called a woman yummy. We have zero idea of the context
2:23
It could have been his wife for all I know, zero idea. And one, he said something like, well, my post-menopausal audience still find it attractive
2:30
in this outfit. Meanwhile, when I reported this last week, all of my post-menopausal viewers, because
2:35
I have a lot of them, wrote in like, yes, and none of us is offended by that even in
2:38
the least. So nice try Fox, but you tried and failed. So they first leaked to the New York Times
2:44
This is my supposition for the record. It hasn't been yet confirmed, but I know it's them
2:49
And I know it's Irina Burgundy who runs comms and hates Tucker. Sorry
2:53
She hates his guts and it's mutual. He doesn't like her either. None of us do
2:57
Nobody likes Irina. Now another, I mean, if you want to go farther left from the New York Times, you'd have to
3:03
go to media matters for America and they without comment post the following bit of Tucker complaining
3:09
about what a hot mess Fox nation is on his set. He's not on the air and he's tied
3:14
They're trying to get him to like dress differently for this interview and he doesn't want to do it
3:19
So I'm wondering why we should be prioritizing his dress and his interview for the Fox nation
3:24
situation as opposed to his prime time show, which he wants to dress for
3:28
Here's part of the exchange. I don't want to be a slave to Fox nation, which I don't think that would be watch anyway
3:34
but nobody's going to watch it on Fox nation. Nobody watches Fox nation because the site sucks
3:39
So I'd really like to just put the dump, the whole thing on YouTube
3:44
But anyway, that's just my view. I'm just frustrated with the, it's hard to use that site
3:52
I don't know why they're not fixing it. It's driving me insane
3:55
We're like working like animals to produce all this content and the people in charge
3:59
of it, whoever that guy is, whatever his name is, like they're ignoring the fact that the
4:03
site doesn't work and it's, I think it's like a betrayal of our efforts
4:07
That's how I feel. So I, of course I resent it. All right, so let me tell you what this is about
4:14
I was talking with Melissa Francis who came on this show last week and a long time Fox bet too
4:19
We talked about how the mission now has to be Tucker's audience can't go with him
4:24
These numbers at 8pm are disaster for Fox and Tucker cannot go to Newsmax, which has
4:30
offered him big numbers according to reports. Newsmax would love to have Tucker just slide on over to 8pm and unlike digital media, it
4:39
would allow him to remain live, which I know Tucker really likes. And there would be some reasons to do that
4:45
I could see why Tucker would say yes to that. I'm sure they're finding ways to open the bank account and new ways for Tucker
4:51
But you see, that's a threat to Fox. That actually is a real threat to Fox. And so what we have to telegraph to Chris Ruddy, who owns Newsmax and any other potential
4:58
employer is Tucker's, he's difficult. He's not a team player. He rips on you from the inside
5:04
You see, he calls women allegedly the C word in his private messages, which were never
5:08
meant to see the light of day. You need to police the way you think now, you see, even on your private time, he says
5:14
bad things about the company's digital offerings. And by the way, at Newsmax, their digital offering is their strongest brand
5:20
That's where they make their money, their digital brand. So you see, he's a hassle
5:24
He's a difficult employee. He's not a team player. He rips on you from the inside
5:30
This is all an orchestrated hit job, in my opinion. And it's not a subtle one
5:36
It's not enough to fire you, Haya. You must be destroyed. And it doesn't matter how nice a guy you were, how many points you put on the board for the
5:44
channel, that you brought us through the Trump years, that you were number one in your time slot, that you haven't said one negative word about us
5:51
You will be destroyed to settle some angry, bitter, internal PR hacks, personal vendetta
5:58
against you. And if she managed to convince the bosses, the Murdochs, that he's not good for them
6:04
either, that he may have called them a name or two, so much the better, because they're
6:08
the ones who make the final decisions. That's what I think is going on here. Your thoughts on all of it? Yeah
6:14
I mean, I think it definitely feels like a very coordinated effort to silence him and
6:17
to take him down. And the reason is simply because he tells the truth, right
6:22
That he says the things that no one else in the media will say. He asks the questions that no one else will ask
6:27
And I think that's why they're all coordinating to take him down. All of a sudden we have his private text messages
6:32
We have these secret, new, you know, unearthed video footage of him saying these things
6:38
It does feel like a lot of people are conspiring together to silence him
6:44
And now you get ridiculous pieces like the one from Brian Stelter, who, you know, was
6:51
formerly on CNN and lost his job because it was a terrible, terrible show that he was
6:56
running at CNN that literally nobody watched. He writes a piece saying Tucker and Don Lemon are texting one another
7:05
Now let me tell you how I'm just going to guess this happened with no actual firsthand
7:09
knowledge of it. They're both being represented by my lawyer, Brian Friedman, because he's a pitbull and
7:14
he's awesome because of their media personalities and dogfights with their companies who have
7:18
all the power. And so they're trying to find a power broker to represent them
7:22
And I guarantee you, Don Lemon said to Brian Friedman, do you have Tucker's number
7:26
I'm going to shoot him a text. You know, solidarity. They both got, there's zero chance Tucker ever asked Brian Friedman for Don Lemon's
7:32
number zero. And Tucker being the gentleman he is, I'm sure received the text and they had a word
7:36
or two about both getting fired and how disgusting our industry is. That's fine
7:40
But Brian Stelter actually reports this like they're now doing each other's hair in braids
7:44
and having sleepovers and, you know, doing seances together. Light as a feather, stiff as a board
7:56
And actually goes on to speculate that they may actually start, this is his speculation
8:02
he owns it, but he says it may sound crazy, but I'm going to write it anyway
8:06
Could the two men team up? I can imagine some hotshot producer selling a new crossfire like it's for the good of
8:14
the Republic that these two, I mean, you've got, why don't we just get speaking of George Clooney
8:21
Why don't we get George Clooney in some community theater loser to pair up? Because that's the imbalance of power between those two
8:26
He's insane. Tucker would destroy him. Now, Megan has a real point here because there has been this slow drip drip campaign
8:34
There's been the text messages released. Now the video is released and all of this seems to be a way to disparage Tucker's character
8:42
to disparage Tucker Carlson as a person. And it doesn't seem to make sense that you'd want to do this to the guy who brought you
8:48
in tons of viewers, made you oodles of money week after week after week
8:53
What is it about Tucker Carlson that you don't want him just not working for Fox News
9:00
You want to destroy him. You want to end him. But what Megan is saying is, and she's right, the fans are still rallying to Tucker
9:06
The fans are not going to buy this. The fans are getting behind Tucker Carlson
9:09
I'm sure a lot of you that are watching this are behind Tucker Carlson. I'm behind Tucker Carlson
9:15
A lot of people I know are behind Tucker Carlson. Tucker Carlson, in my opinion, was axed because he just got too close to the truth about things
9:24
and maybe some sponsors didn't like that. Maybe some people in corporate didn't like that
9:28
But I think Tucker was not afraid to talk truth to power, a real journalist
9:32
And for that, he's been punished. Folks, again, I'm Carmine Sabia. This is Explain America
9:38
Want to thank you guys for watching, for listening. Please make sure you like, comment, share, and subscribe
