Trump's Classified Docs Case Takes Major Turn - Jack Smith Forced To Change His Plans

for Explain America, and good old Jackie Smith, well, he's got a little bit of a problem

with the Trump case, and now he's begging for mercy. Before we get started, please make sure you like

Let me ask you guys a question. If you were building a case against somebody

and you finally came to the realization, you looked at your evidence, you said, this is what I got, and you realized

you really didn't have much of anything, what would you do? I mean, you told the whole world you have everything

you need to put this evil bad guy away forever, but then you look at it, and you're like

what am I really prosecuting here? What do I really have? Well, I'm wondering if that's what's going on

in Jack Smith's mind. I can't get in his mind, I don't know

but I do know that the judge in the Trump case, Eileen Cannon, who was appointed by President Donald Trump

she said the trial should start in August. It's gonna be July in about a week

August, a month away, doesn't give much wiggle room. Jack Smith has asked for an extension

He wants to push the trial off to December. Now, there could be a few reasons for this

other than the reason Jack gave. And what Mr. Smith said was

he wanted the defense to have time to review all the classified materials

which they couldn't do until they get full security clearances, and that could take

anywhere to about 45 to 60 days. So that's his case. My belief, I'm not certain

See, you push it to December, you keep Trump tied up, keep him out of the primaries

while he should be campaigning, he's busy on trial. That's one possibility

Another possibility is, of course, that Jack doesn't have what Jack says he has

And if Jack don't have Jack, then his case is Jack. You get what I'm saying

That's what I think might actually be happening. Trump also got some really good news this week

because the county that the trial's gonna be in, the county where Eileen Cannon has set the trial

where she sits on the bench, well, it couldn't be better. It's three red counties and one swing county

or purple county, that's surrounded. That's where the jury pool is gonna be selected from

Trump couldn't ask for a better case scenario. This is not New York, this is not Atlanta, Georgia

this is Trump country. So it really will actually be a jury of his peers

That's gotta be also bad news for Jack Smith. Another reason maybe he's looking to postpone it

maybe he's trying to shop around, get a different venue. God forbid a venue be fair to Trump

and not be already a Democrat cesspool when you get there, right

So I think a lot of these things can be factoring into Smith's decision here

and we're gonna have to see how this plays out. But what do you guys think

Do you think that Smith is actually just running scared, like I think, because I'm being honest with you

that's what I totally think. I think he's running scared, he wants to postpone this

wants to put it off, wants it to hang over Trump's head, doesn't want the acquittal to come

before Trump can be elected. That's what I think. But I wanna know what you guys think

Do you think it is what he says it is? Do you think he's running scared

Or do you think he just wants this to badger Trump with for the election
