Hey ladies and gentlemen, this is Carmine Sabia for Explain America and Tucker Carlson
0:05
just laid out a bombshell about why he believes he was fired from Fox News and it involves backstabbing
0:14
Before we get started, please make sure you like, comment, share and subscribe
0:18
Those little things really help us out and they help our channel continue to grow
0:22
So Tucker Carlson, he gave an interview for this new book that's about to come out
0:26
It's called The Rise and Fall of Fox News and the Murdoch Empire
0:30
Now Carlson in the book says that he believes fully that he was fired because of the Dominion lawsuit
0:40
Carlson believes that the Murdoch family met with the people from Dominion and negotiated
0:45
a settlement because the Murdochs were afraid of the judgment against them actually going
0:50
over $1 billion and it was closer to $800 million, give or take a few tens of millions
0:56
which when you're dealing with that kind of money, you can give or take a few of those
1:01
So Carlson said that he believes a meeting was had beforehand where they agreed as part
1:06
of the settlement to fire Carlson because that would cause more damages to Fox News
1:11
considering he was the highest rated cable host on television amassing over 3 million
1:16
views per night. Now legally, I have to tell you that both Fox News and Dominion have repeatedly denied
1:24
this allegation. They say there is no truth to this rumor. Fox has denied it
1:29
Dominion has denied it emphatically. That being said, that's not ringing true in the ears of Tucker Carlson who still believes
1:40
that that was the reason he was fired. Now the book goes on to claim that Rupert Murdoch actually liked Carlson a lot and had
1:47
dinner with him not long before the firing and it reinforced how much Rupert actually
1:53
liked Carlson. And they said to the contrast, he does not like Sean Hannity
1:58
But there was something else in there. Something else that I thought was interesting
2:02
There was another theory and the other theory suggested Rupert Murdoch has long not been
2:07
a fan of people talking about their spirituality, talking about their religion, talking about
2:12
God, talking about Jesus, talking about the Holy Spirit, talking about their Christianity
2:17
in particular, but any religion. And that Carlson just days before was at a fundraiser where he did talk about his Christianity
2:27
and this apparently rankled the feathers of Rupert Murdoch. And they said that that actually led to him firing Carlson
2:37
That's hard to believe because Fox News hosts tend to be Christian and they tend to talk
2:42
about it. So that one is hard for me to believe. The Dominion lawsuit, all I can say is all the parties deny it
2:49
But when you have the top rated host on cable news fired, no reason is ever given, he's
2:56
still a ratings juggernaut, there has to be an answer that we don't know about
3:02
There has to be an explanation. Was it a cost saving move because of the Dominion lawsuit
3:07
Well, if that's the case, I think Sean Hannity is the highest paid host there and he wasn't fired
3:13
So it's hard to imagine what actually caused it if it wasn't the Dominion lawsuit
3:18
I want to know what you guys think in the comments. So please let me know. Why do you think Carlson was fired
3:23
Do you still watch Fox News after his firing? I want to know both of those things
3:28
And I'd also like you to like, share and subscribe. I know I ask it a lot, but it is so important to this channel to keep it free and to keep
3:36
it going. So please just hit the like button, hit the share button. If nothing else, it really helps us out
