Hey ladies and gentlemen this is Carmine Sabia for Explain America and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez
0:07
she may be well fresh out of luck with a new new opponent in her district. Before we get started
0:16
please make sure you like, comment, share and subscribe. Those little things really help us
0:21
out and they help our channel continue to grow. Marty Dolan, a Wall Street you know big-time
0:27
broker he's he's running against AOC Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez for her spot in Congress and he's
0:34
given all the reasons why. He's talking about job loss in New York and her area particularly
0:40
New York is bleeding population people are going to places like Florida and Texas and you know red
0:47
states where they have more opportunity where the grass is kind of greener right. AOC she's
0:53
never faced a challenge like this usually the challenge comes from her left it comes from
0:58
somebody sometimes who was even more extreme than she is. Now there have been occasions where
1:03
people have stepped to the plate that were less extreme than AOC than Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez
1:11
but in this case this is a guy who's actually presenting facts and that's what makes it so
1:17
dangerous because look people are suffering anywhere and you could do all the identity
1:22
politics you want. I believe people vote with their bank account. Now granted it would be very
1:29
very very very tough to defeat Rep. Ocasio-Cortez in her home district. Very tough. She is
1:39
you know kind of a fixture there but so was the guy she defeated before and you guys have seen
1:45
from town hall after town hall that she's not getting the warmest of receptions anymore you
1:51
know it's not hey AOC we love you it's more hey AOC what are you doing our town? Well now
1:58
Marty Dolan he's talking about all the reasons why all the reasons why this could be a catastrophe
2:07
for Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez why he believes he can defeat her and why frankly he just might do
2:16
that. I want you to take a look at this campaign ad he posted and let me know what you think of
2:21
this guy do you think he can take down Ms. Cortez? Watch this and then leave a comment on the video
2:27
when you like comment share and subscribe. I thought it'd be really good for New York to
2:32
have a debate in the United States to have a debate about where are we going with this trend
2:38
for radicalism what good has it done for us a systemic problem for New York an existential
2:45
problem for New York we are losing hundreds of thousands of people we've already lost a district
2:51
congressional district perhaps two three more New York once had 44 congressional districts
2:59
Florida had six now Florida has 27 and New York has 26 so you lose 500,000 people because they've
3:07
had enough and then you lose 500,000 more people that's a district they're losing districts they're
3:12
losing tax revenue in the form of the middle class they're losing jobs uh the ripple effect
3:17
is huge and it's lasting there's always a tendency to say that's not that's not my job like you know
3:21
that's a state law but hold on it is your job these are your constituents you shouldn't be spending
3:26
the majority of your political capital to support your constituents of course some of it's for you
3:30
because maybe you're going to go do another job you know whatever but you can't be so focused on
3:34
your own franchise and not on what's happening in your district
