hey ladies and gentlemen this is Carmine
0:01
Sabia for explain America and these
0:04
celebrities have not taken the election
0:06
of president-elect Donald Trump in
0:08
stride even a little before we get
0:11
started please make sure you like

0:30
free it really helps us out Alec Baldwin
0:33
Sharon Stone and a group of celebrities
0:35
were over in Italy at a film festival my
0:39
the home country of my people my
0:42
ancestors and and they were they were
0:44
there and and they talked about the
0:47
election because it's it's on their mind
0:49
so much they're so broken by it and
0:53
Baldwin you know the guy who who killed
0:55
somebody on his set um he was talking
0:58
about how
1:00
you know Americans you know like you and
1:03
I we're just not smart enough we're just
1:05
not as smart as him you know we don't
1:07
understand the things he understands
1:08
we're not worldly like him and that's
1:11
why we would vote for Donald Trump
1:13
because we're we're not bad people we're
1:15
just
1:16
stupid you know Sharon son she kind of
1:18
said something similar we're ignorant I
1:21
guess you know because we don't look at
1:23
people who play Make Believe for a
1:24
living and ask them for their political
1:26
opinions that makes us ignorant I don't
1:28
know I've studied politics since I was
1:30
10 years old 10 years old I'm 47 today's
1:34
my birthday 47 today so that's 37 years
1:38
of politics I don't need Alec Balwin and
1:41
Sharon Zone to tell me about politics
1:45
geopolitics world affairs economics or
1:48
any of the like I know it and I'm listen
1:51
there's a lot I can still learn but not
1:53
from them not from them and not because
1:56
they're liberals but because they they
1:59
play make belie for living this politics
2:00
is not their
2:01
jam I would sit at The Learning Tree
2:04
under a James Carville I would sit at
2:05
The Learning Tree under a Bill Maher
2:07
who's a comedian but very learned in
2:09
politics so it's not just being a
2:11
celebrity Bill Mah is a celebrity he
2:13
knows what he's talking about these
2:15
people do not and I want you to watch I
2:17
want you to sit here and watch this
2:18
tantrum that he had this mental
2:21
breakdown that he had because he can't
2:23
accept the
2:24
election and then let me know what you
2:26
think in the comments uh in my country
2:30
um without going into significant detail
2:34
um half the people in the country are
2:37
happy and half the people in the country
2:39
are very unhappy it's a very difficult
2:42
time in the United States and I think
2:43
the only way people can
2:46
learn uh what is
2:49
happening and film is unique in this way
2:51
not only what's happening in the United
2:53
States but around the world what's
2:56
happening uh you might not learn from
2:59
the News television news in the United
3:02
States is a business they have to make
3:05
money and again not to go into great
3:07
detail about that but there's a hole
3:10
there's a
3:11
vacuum there is a gap if you will in um
3:16
uh information for Americans Americans
3:19
are very uninformed about reality what's
3:21
really going on with climate change
3:24
Ukraine is you name it all the biggest
3:27
topics in the world Americans have an
3:30
appetite for a little bit of information
3:32
that vacuum is filled by the film
3:35
industry not just the independent film
3:37
industry not just the documentary film
3:39
industry which are very important around
3:41
the world but by narrative films as well
3:46
where the filmmakers and the buyers the
3:49
studios and the networks and the
3:51
streamers are willing to go that way and
3:53
they're willing to try to make um films
3:56
that are not only entertaining but um
3:58
informative as well so I think right now
4:01
is probably one of the most significant
4:03
times in our history and since film
4:06
began since the film experience began it
4:09
became an art form it became a business
4:12
a huge business now is probably one of
4:14
the most important times in our history
4:18
uh for us to make films that will teach
4:21
people about what what reality is around
4:23
the world
