"What Are You So Afraid Of?' - Chaos Erupts In The House As Matt Gaetz Shreds Dem Colleague

in the House of Representatives, and I mean crazy, between Matt Gaetz and a Democrat representative

named Horsford, and it was just insane, like tremendous, you have to see this

And believe me, I'm going to want to hear your comments on this

So they were debating in the House on Thursday about diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives

in the military. Now Gaetz and a lot of the Republicans want these things removed

You know, China and other countries, they're preparing for war with us, with other countries

all around the world, militaries are preparing for war. But in the United States, we're preparing for diversity

Now those things are not mutually exclusive, but where's the focus? I think that's the concern

You can have diversity and inclusion, scratch equity. I want you guys to understand this real quick before we get to the video

There is a difference. They're trying to play word games with you, and in essence, mind games

Equity sounds a lot like equality, but it's not. Equity is completely different

Equity means we both start at the same starting point, and then whatever we do, we can get

to where we're getting to. Equity means no matter where you start, we want you to end up in the same place

So there's a difference. Equality is equal opportunity. Equity is equal outcome

They are completely different. They sound the same, and that's why Democrats are slipping this word in, because they sound

the same, and it confuses people. That's why I want you to share this video

Just for that explanation alone, I want you to share this video so people know the mind

game that's being played on them. That being said, let's take a look at what happened with Matt Gaetz and Rep. Horsford

It grows more diverse, more and more reflecting the diversity of our nation

This amendment does nothing to address the recruitment shortfalls that our services are

facing, and instead, it will only make it more difficult to recruit Americans on diverse

backgrounds, representing the true makeup of our nation. What are you so afraid of

Why do you keep bringing these divisive issues to the body of this floor

You are out of order. You are exhausting this debate. The gentleman is no longer recognized

The gentleman has an obligation to address the Chair, not other members

He did not do that. He was out of order violating the decorum of the House

Thank you, Mr. Speaker. For his amendment. Mr. Speaker, the childish antics that we just observed indicate that we've got a lot of

work to do, both in this House and the military, not to have radical racial ideology governing

our discourse and governing the policy choices that we make in these bills

The policy choice that my amendment seeks to make ensures that we do not have the cancer

of DEI harming our military. I would yield one minute to the gentlelady from Florida

Absolutely no decorum. This is the Democrat Party of today. This is what they do

This is how they act. They believe the world owes them something

They always constantly aggrieved. They believe they're wrong. They believe they can act however they want, wherever they want, whenever they want

It's absolutely ridiculous. It is beneath an office of a representative of these here United States, and he should

be ashamed of himself. Gates was right for his point of order. He was right for taking it to him, and congratulations also to Representative Annapolina Luna for
