Cortez what a wacko huh this woman she
0:41
gave a
0:42
screed as a debate over the lake and
0:45
Riley act to deport criminal illegal
0:48
aliens was being debated and she she
0:52
basically said it was an
0:54
attack on all immigrants that's not true
0:57
see the left they tend to conflate Legal
1:01
immigration with illegal immigration
1:03
quite frequently it's very offensive to
1:05
me as I have a grandparent and a parent
1:07
both passed on who were legal immigrants
1:10
so it's very it's very annoying to me
1:13
when I hear
1:14
that uh a lot of my friends are legal
1:16
immigrants it's not the same
1:19
thing and you know above all else we're
1:24
talking about criminals here so she goes
1:27
on this screed about how it's going to
1:29
Target innocent people first of all
1:31
understand something when you're in this
1:32
country illegally You're Not Innocent
1:34
you've already committed a crime you're
1:36
already a Criminal by virtue of you
1:37
being here illegally thus the word
1:39
illegal get a dictionary you're it's
1:42
already it's already a crime so yeah I'm
1:45
only for arresting criminal illegal
1:47
aliens because they're all
1:49
criminals I'm only for deporting to
1:51
criminals cuz they're all criminals you
1:54
broke a law to be here and not only that
1:57
how are you working well there's
1:58
probably identity theft involved in the
2:01
in you know getting people's Social
2:02
Security numbers you know not always but
2:04
usually there's some form of identity
2:06
theft involved so there's tax evasion
2:08
involved there's all kinds of
2:10
crimes being committed and you just turn
2:14
a blind eye to it you turn a blind eye
2:15
to the things you'd put an American in
2:17
jail for doesn't make sense but it does
2:20
to AIO Cortez I wonder why radical left
2:25
Democrat I want you to watch her TI
2:27
raade and then let me know what you
2:29
think in the comments I think the
2:31
ranking
2:32
member Mr Speaker I want the American
2:34
people to know with eyes wide open what
2:37
is inside this bill because we stand
2:40
here just two days after president Trump
2:43
gave unconditional pardons to Violent
2:47
criminals who attacked our nation's
2:49
capital on January 6th and these are the
2:52
people who want you to believe who want
2:54
us to believe that they're trying to
2:55
quote unquote keep criminals off the
2:57
streets they are opening when they are
3:00
opening the
3:01
floodgates I want the American people to
3:04
know what is in this bill because in the
3:07
guys and in the in the wake of tragedy
3:09
we are seeing a fundamental erosion of
3:12
our civil rights in this bill if a
3:16
person is so much as accused of a crime
3:20
if someone wants to point a finger and
3:23
accuse someone of shoplifting they will
3:25
be rounded up and put into a private
3:28
detention camp and signed and sent out
3:30
for deportation without a day in court
3:33
without a moment to assert their right
3:35
and without a moment to assert the
3:37
privilege of innocent until proven
3:38
guilty without being found guilty of a
3:41
crime that will be rounded up that is
3:44
what is inside this bill a fundamental
3:47
suspension of a core American value and
3:52
that is why I Rise to oppose it if
3:55
you're a
3:56
dreamer all someone has to do is point a
3:59
finger and you will be rounded up and we
4:01
have seen moments like these happen
4:04
before in The Patriot Act in the wake of
4:06
the travesty of 911 a fundamental
4:09
suspension of American civil liberties
4:12
that is what we are seeing here today Mr
4:15
Speaker you may wonder why so many of
4:17
our friends across the aisle who care so
4:19
deeply about the rule of law happen to
4:21
be so desperate to pass this bill after
4:24
they are unleashing people who attacked
4:27
police officers here on the C on this
4:30
Capital into roaming our streets who are
4:32
publicly saying now they want to get a
4:34
gun suddenly these folks care about
4:36
Public Safety I don't think so look no
4:39
further than the price tag of this bill
4:42
$83
4:43
billion they know that it can't be paid
4:46
for they know that the capacity is not
4:48
there and you know what will be there
4:51
private prison companies are going to
4:54
get flooded with money who give this
4:57
money no doubt I want Folks at home to
4:59
look look at what members of Congress
5:03
are invested in private prison companies
5:06
who receive this kind of money and look
5:08
at the votes on this
5:09
bill it is atrocious that people are are
5:14
lining their pockets with private prison
5:18
profits in the name of a horrific
5:21
tragedy and the victim of a crime it is
5:25
shameful it is absolutely shameful
5:30
and Mr Speaker I'll conclude with this
5:31
in a few months there are members of
5:33
Congress who voted for this bill who are
5:34
going to pretend they didn't know about
5:37
all the bad things that are going to
5:38
happen because of it so when a private
5:41
prison camp opens in your town when a
5:44
dreamer time has expired I yield the
5:45
general lady in additional 30 seconds so
5:47
when a private prison camp opens in your
5:50
town and they say we didn't know this
5:52
was going to happen no that they did and
5:55
they voted for it when a dreamer is
5:57
disappeared from your classroom when the
6:00
president of the United States destroys
6:02
what is left of the Constitution as he's
6:05
announced in this attack on Birthright
6:08
citizenship they will all say we didn't
6:10
know this was coming and I want the
6:12
American people to know that they did
6:15
this vote represents it and with that I
6:17
yield back thank you very much and Lady
