It's A Trap - Top Republican Sounds The Alarm Before Debate

Hey ladies and gentlemen this is Carmine Sabia for Explain America and we are just days away

from the first and possibly only presidential debate in this election year and now one Republican

is sounding the alarm. Before we get started please make sure you like, comment, share

conservative news hit that join button. Trey Gowdy, former congressman and now a Fox News host

he's sounding the alarm on what he believes is a trap the Republicans have walked into

and are quickly trying to walk out of if it's not too late and that is lowering the expectations for

Joe Biden. See Republicans have talked about how weak he is, how he's wandering around

how his mind doesn't seem to be all there and all that does is lower the bar

People, all Joe Biden has to do at this point is stay awake and people are going to think he won

the debate because he actually managed to stay awake. Now I have my doubts that Joe Biden can

stand and stay awake for 90 minutes but that's a different story. If he can that's going to be seen

as a victory because Republicans have walked into this trap. I agree a hundred percent with Trey

Gowdy. We have lowered the bar so much for this walking mummy that now all he has to do is really

be there and not fall asleep. I mean that's pretty much the long and short of it and what the

Democrats are going to do to keep him awake I don't know but there is a way out of it. See Trump has started now talking about he's a worthy debater and we have to use this next week

to talk about how smart Joe Biden is. What a great debater he has been in the past

in the past. It's important because you want people to juxtapose past Joe Biden who in fact

was a great debater with current Joe Biden whose brains are pretty much jello at this point and

probably doesn't know what day of the week it is or who he's debating next week. So I think Trey Gowdy's right but I want you to hear the entirety of what he said. I'm going to

show you that video and then I want you to tell me in the comments if you agree with him or if you

disagree. Let me know right after you watch this. Let's start with the debate expectations. I mean

is the right are Republicans in trouble because they've you know spent a lot of time in recent

weeks talking about how President Biden can't find his way off the stage and we saw what

happened at the State of the Union when he came in stronger than expected and there was a ton of praise for him. Yeah they got to be very careful. I mean I don't know why Republicans

fall into this trap of setting high expectations. I mean this debate Shannon to me is fascinating

because it's a combination of agenda and acuity. It's content and cognition so the viewers will

be watching both. Not only what you say but are you fit for office. So I don't recall a debate

in my lifetime where both of those issues were front and center for both of the candidates

Not just what you say but I mean can you remember which day of the week it is. That's going to be an issue
