hey ladies and gentlemen this is Carmine
0:02

0:06
he did something today that even shocked
0:08
a Fox News host he was talking to before
0:11
we get started please make sure you like
0:13

there please subscribe absolutely free
0:32
it really helps us
0:33
out JD Vance spoke to Maria bomo today
0:38
in a long ranging interview in fact
0:41
we're going to get some more of what he
0:42
talked about in another video but in
0:45
this particular video let's talk about
0:48
Dei diversity equity and
0:50
inclusion this is in a hot button topic
0:53
for conservatives and liberals alike it
0:56
has been a very controversial subject
0:58
and when presidental Donald Trump talked
1:01
about Dei in the wake of a tragic air
1:05
disaster in Washington
1:07
DC well the airwaves lit up people
1:11
pundants Democrats pounced they said it
1:14
wasn't the right time it wasn't the
1:16
right place listen I don't think it was
1:18
the right time and place but I don't he
1:22
might know something I don't know and I
1:25
I always preface it with that and he
1:26
might be very angry about it so I try to
1:30
think of that as well you know what I
1:32
would do versus what he would do listen
1:34
77 million people including myself voted
1:37
for this man we know exactly how he
1:39
talks we know exactly who he is and this
1:42
is who he is this is what we voted for
1:43
so I'm cool with it JD Vance doubled
1:47
down on it when he talked to Maria bomo
1:49
he said this Dei push has made us less
1:53
safe they are going to eradicate it from
1:55
federal agencies especially things like
1:58
Aviation things that deal with public
1:59
safety they're going to get rid of it
2:01
and we need instead a meritocracy where
2:04
it's just the best person for the job
2:06
regardless of race Creed color gender
2:09
sexual orientation any of that stuff
2:13
none of that matters the only thing that
2:15
matters is the person can do the job and
2:17
they're the best qualified for that job
2:20
now for far too long in our country and
2:22
you guys know this I'm not breaking news
2:24
here it wasn't that way there was you
2:27
know minority people were absolutely
2:30
absolutely skipped over for jobs but
2:33
that's in history that's not today today
2:37
you have underqualified people being
2:39
promoted for jobs instead of more
2:42
qualified people getting them and that's
2:44
not only wrong it's dangerous that's
2:47
what JD Vance was talking about here and
2:48
I want you to take a look at it and let
2:50
me know what you think in the comments
2:53
our horse go out to everybody who was
2:54
affected by it I've actually made a
2:55
couple of phone calls to the relatives
2:57
of the deceased to the people who lost
2:59
their lives lives and it's just
3:00
incredibly heartbreaking I mean you've
3:02
got you know moms who are you know
3:05
mothers to very young children you've
3:06
got a dad who had a one-year-old baby on
3:08
the army helicopter just we have to
3:10
remember the human tragedy of this
3:12
because when Americans have tragedy I
3:14
think we can all come together Democrat
3:16
Republican or independent to just say we
3:18
we love those folks we're going to do
3:19
right by them and we're going to support
3:20
them through what is I think the
3:22
unspeakable tragedy of the last couple
3:23
of days uh but but I do think that we
3:26
also have to do a better job at the
3:28
policy so that we make sure that
3:29
Aviation is as safe as it possibly can
3:32
now we haven't had an aviation accident
3:33
like this in about 15 20 years we want
3:36
to make sure that we we try to never
3:38
have an aviation acent accident like
3:40
this again or at least make them as
3:42
minimal as possible and that does I
3:44
think mean that we have to talk about
3:46
the Dei policies now here here's the
3:48
specific way in which I think the Dei
3:51
policies of the last Administration the
3:53
Obama Administration contributed to
3:54
where we are we have a massive shortage
3:57
of air traffic controllers and in fact
3:59
there have been number of lawsuits from
4:00
people who would like to become air
4:02
traffic controllers against the Obama
4:04
and Biden Administration who were
4:06
basically said we were told not even to
4:08
apply because of the color of our skin
4:11
because they were white people who
4:12
wanted to be air traffic controllers and
4:14
under the Dei regime of the B
4:16
Administration they weren't welcome well
4:17
what does that mean number one it means
4:20
that we don't have the best and the
4:21
brightest sometimes in these positions
4:23
but even more importantly than that even
4:25
when we do get really good people
4:26
they're going to be way over stressed
4:28
because they're working long hour hours
4:30
because air traffic controllers are
4:31
short staffed and we have known going
4:33
back years I was on the Commerce
4:35
Secretary or the Commerce um sorry I I
4:39
was on the the the Commerce Committee in
4:41
the Senate we knew for years that we had
4:43
a shortage at Air Traffic Control well
4:47
part of the reason why we had a shortage
4:48
of air traffic control is because we
4:50
were telling our air traffic controllers
4:52
not to hire people because of the color
4:54
of their skin that is a scandal and it
4:56
is a scandal thankfully that is stopped
4:58
under the leadership of president Trump
5:00
it's why I'm actually optimistic about
5:01
Aviation safety but it's also why we've
5:04
had way too many near misses and
5:05
unfortunately a fatal crash just a
5:07
couple days ago so I mean do you have
5:08
any evidence that any of those hires
5:11
that were there at the control Wednesday
5:14
night were Dei hires now the president's
5:16
been very clear about this this is not
5:18
saying that the person who is at the
5:20
controls is a Dei hire but let's just
5:22
say first of all we should investigate
5:24
everything but let's just say the person
5:26
at the controls didn't have enough
5:28
Staffing around him or her because we
5:31
were turning people away because of Dei
5:33
reasons there is a very direct
5:35
connection between the policies of the
5:37
last Administration and short staffed
5:39
air traffic controllers that has to stop
5:41
and by the way it's so funny to me the
5:43
media has picked up on this not you of
5:45
course Maria but others have picked up
5:47
on this the president made very clear
5:50
that he wasn't blaming anybody but he
5:52
was being very explicit about the fact
5:55
that Dei policies have led our air
5:57
traffic controllers to be short staffed
5:59
that is a scandal thankfully it's a
6:02
scandal that the president has stopped
6:03
well I mean what can you do about it
6:05
because you said we haven't had an
6:07
accident like this in a long time true
6:08
but we've had a lot of near misses right
6:10
we've had almost a thousand near misses
6:13
just recently we're talking about
6:14
20-year-old traffic Management systems
6:17
and and and and they're responsible for
6:19
detecting and managing Landings at
6:21
airports meanwhile you've got companies
6:23
like locki Martin and rathon that have
6:25
very sophisticated systems and our
6:27
allies are using those systems like in
6:28
the UK that's right so there are two big
6:30
issues here number one most importantly
6:32
again you've got to have the right
6:33
people at air traffic control air
6:35
traffic control is short staffed and I
6:36
think the elimination of Dei hires and
6:39
Dei policies will allow us actually to
6:41
hire the air traffic controllers that we
6:43
need the software point is really
6:45
important though because we know if if
6:47
you look at the these old Antiquated Air
6:49
Traffic Control Systems it really does
6:51
look like a video game that's 30 years
6:52
old we've got better software we need a
6:55
federal government that's more
6:56
responsive to the technology that's out
6:58
there and I and I really do think that
6:59
with President Trump's leadership we're
7:01
going to have those near misses and
7:03
those almost terrible tragedies those
7:05
are going to come down which means our
7:07
Aviation system is going to be much
7:08
safer
