0:32
guys you know these
0:35
people are so self-important they are
0:39
so golly what's the word I'm looking for
0:42
here they're so
0:44
self-aggrandizing they they they just
0:46
they live in their own bubble of their
0:47
own self-importance
0:49
and whoopy Goldberg accused a local
0:52
bakery of not wanting to bake cupcakes
0:55
for her annivers birthday show whatever
0:57
it was birthday show because of her
1:00
feelings about President Trump
1:02
now I find it hard to believe and a lot
1:05
of the Business Leaders in the area
1:07
found it hard to believe a lot of them
1:09
Democrats and they've demanded an
1:12
apology to this
1:13
Bakery and there's a lot of heat coming
1:16
down on whoy Goldberg for this from the
1:18
New York
1:19
government
1:20
seriously so they actually demanded this
1:23
apology and whoy
1:25
Goldberg well she delivered a graving
1:27
sniveling weak need little apology tried
1:31
to backtrack walk it
1:33
back you hold a lot of power Miss
1:35
Goldberg because people listen to you
1:37
for whatever reason that I can't
1:40
comprehend and you could have damaged
1:42
this business and I pray they sue you
1:45
into bankruptcy for what you did you
1:50
self-important pompous arrogant
1:53
jerk I want you to watch this this is
1:56
the leaders calling for an apology and
1:57
then I want you to watch whoopy B
1:59
Goldberg
2:00
gravel after that and then let me know
2:02
what you think in the
2:04
comments what happening uh whoopy
2:06
Goldberg causing problems for a bakery
2:08
and now a Staten Island uh Bureau
2:10
president is speaking let's
2:13
watch and I I think the bottom line here
2:16
is after we're going to call up uh Jill
2:18
who has had to endure something that she
2:20
shouldn't have to endure these people
2:22
are up at 3 or 4:00 every morning the
2:25
sacrifices they've made the holidays
2:27
they've missed with their families to
2:29
make Staten Island better they have
2:32
sacrificed for 145 years Rutherford B
2:35
Hayes was the president of the United
2:37
States for God's sakes and they're still
2:39
here and they're still strong and
2:40
they're not going anywhere despite what
2:42
other people on television have to say
2:45
and frankly the people who who defamed
2:48
Halterman the Halterman family should
2:50
apologize to the Halterman family for
2:53
making stuff up to suit their needs not
2:56
everybody wakes up every day and thinks
2:58
about politics a good business person
3:01
doesn't care about anybody's politics so
3:03
with that I'd like to call up Jill H and
3:06
Bowers uh she deserves our 110% support
3:10
Jill come
3:11
[Applause]
3:14
on it's a community that I have to tell
3:18
you I'm so overwhelmed by the support
3:21
between finding out yesterday this even
3:23
happened getting phone calls and then
3:26
people coming in people from all over to
3:29
support ing Us in every way we had phone
3:32
calls yesterday from Alabama guys says
3:34
I'm going to give you $50 send it to a
3:36
school send them Donuts send them
3:37
cupcakes the support has been so
3:40
overwhelming and I know how hard my
3:43
family has worked to keep this business
3:45
alive and I wish my father was here
3:48
today to see this he would never believe
3:50
it my Bakers come in 2 or 3 in the
3:52
morning just to have donuts and rolls
3:55
for everybody to come in and say we have
3:57
the best rolls ever and you know what it
4:00
took my whole family it takes everybody
4:02
the community that comes every day to
4:05
see us we have this everyday
4:06
conversation with everybody how's the
4:08
family how's this this is what makes
4:10
Hans Hans it's the community it's my
4:13
fellow everything that come out and us
4:16
giving back to the community that makes
4:18
this Go Round And if it wasn't for you
4:21
and Staten Island to make this work we
4:23
still wouldn't be here
4:28
today so I know my brother Billy work
4:32
hard Joe my Baker in the back is here
4:34
six days a week he gives his heart and
4:36
soul to this place and you know what my
4:39
father always said you do what you love
4:41
I'm telling you this is my heart and I
4:44
thank you so much for everybody come out
4:46
and support us with the hman family it
4:48
means the world to me it really does
4:51
thank you so
4:55
much good oh good so good the goodness
4:58
prevails and just a little background
5:00
for those who know there was they had a
5:02
boiler here again it's been here 145
5:04
years they had a boiler that was 60 or
5:06
70 years old and the first week in
5:08
November guess what it went on the fritz
5:10
they had to be replaced and the the
5:13
reputation of Halterman is impeccable so
5:15
rather than commit to something they
5:17
couldn't guarantee they said we can't do
5:19
it and the person who uh bmer merged and
5:21
defamed them took that as an insult to
5:24
to her well get over it uh these this
5:27
family will be here for God willing
5:29
another 145 years and as Jill said it's
5:32
her family it's the Staton Community
5:34
it's the elected officials and I hope if
5:37
you're watching this across the country
5:39
go online and order something and so
5:42
there seems to be a lot of talk about
5:43
the dessert I requested for my birthday
5:45
show I never mention the name of the
5:48
bakery or the location it does seem a
5:52
little odd that when we call a few weeks
5:54
before my birthday and we were told they
5:56
couldn't process the order for my
5:58
birthday because because of an equipment
6:00
failure but somehow they were able to
6:03
accept an order of a different 48 of the
6:07
same dessert when somebody else called
6:10
without using my name but it's all okay
6:13
y'all because I enjoyed my delicious
6:15
dessert and I had a happy sweet birthday
6:19
nothing better than that
