Hey, ladies and gentlemen, this is Carmine Sabia

for Explain America, and Joe Biden just got some devastating news when it comes to 2024
0:09
and it was from an unusual source, the New York Times. Before we get started, please make sure you like
0:15
comment, share, and subscribe. Those little things really help us out, and they help our channel continue to grow

I'm gonna get right to the point. A New York Times column, a New York Times poll
0:26
published this week, shows Trump and Biden in a statistical tie, a dead heat
0:34
for the presidency of the United States. Now, you go over to CNN, another not really
0:39
Trump-friendly source, and Harry Enten, who's a statistician over there, one of the best in the business
0:45
he says not only is Trump 2024 a possibility, it's very possible, and what he points to
0:51
is not only that poll, but a series of polls that actually show Trump either ahead
0:56
or tied with Joe Biden in the race for 2024, and what he says is, it's not just the national polls
1:03
because national polls are not always an arbiter of what's gonna happen in the presidential election
1:07
because of course, we have the Electoral College, but then he points to polls in Pennsylvania
1:12
that show Trump ahead by a point over Biden. Now, a point may not seem like a lot
1:18
but you have to understand, in 2016, Trump had a razor-thin victory in Pennsylvania
1:24
In 2020, Joe Biden had a razor-thin victory in Pennsylvania. Pennsylvania is a very, very important state
1:31
and it can be won by a virtual handful of votes. So, those are the states like Arizona, Nevada
1:40
Georgia, and of course, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Michigan, those are the states we have to watch
1:47
A lot of the states are not in play. You know Texas is gonna go red, you know California, New Jersey, New York
1:51
are gonna go blue, right? You know, a lot of the states in the middle of the country are gonna go red, but there are those states
1:57
that are kinda purplish, and I would put Pennsylvania in the purplish category now, that are kinda purplish
2:02
that are gonna decide this election in 2024. And Joe Biden's economic policies
2:09
his heavy hand of government, apparently wanting to ban gas stoves, and the light bulb ban goes into effect today
2:16
and generators, and certain types of air conditioners, and certain types of water heaters
2:22
People don't want that kind of government intrusion in their life, and they may not like Trump, they may not
2:27
They may say, this guy, he's indicted, he's got all these issues, he's a loud mouth, he's brash
2:33
but policies win elections. Policies over personalities win elections. And when people see their rights and their freedoms
2:40
being infringed on, when they see the exorbitant high cost of things, inflation
2:45
even though it's coming down a little bit, is still high. It's, you know, they can tout all the economic
2:50
quote unquote, wins, victories, that they think they have, but it's not really the case
2:56
Americans aren't seeing that in their pockets, they're not seeing that at home
3:00
And as James Carville once said, it's the economy, stupid. You know, it's always the economy, it's always money
3:07
People vote with their bank accounts more often than not. I wanna know what you think
3:11
Do you think this polling is good for Trump? Do you think he's even further ahead than they're saying
3:17
on TV, if they're saying this much, if they're admitting this much, how much is he really ahead? That's something I thought about
3:22
I wanna know what you guys think. Let me know in the comments. Also, please remember to like, share, and subscribe
