Hey ladies and gentlemen, this is Carmine Sabia for Explain America and this could be the end of Fannie Willis' career
0:07
Before we get started, please make sure you like, comment, share, and subscribe. Those little things really help us out
0:13
and they help our channel continue to grow. So Fannie Willis, you know, you got to understand her position is not an appointed position. She gets elected to her position
0:23
Now she's being sued by a member of the the state legislature in Georgia over a whole different case that doesn't involve Trump
0:34
And she's got lawsuits. She's got all kinds of controversies. She's got all kinds of things hitting her right now and it's not good for her career. But what could be worse
0:45
is she had a debate the other night. Kind of. She had a debate against her opponent
0:51
for attorney general but she didn't show. So she was represented in the debate by an empty podium while he gets to just
0:58
tee off on her about everything including her affair with Nathan Wade. Now why she wouldn't show for this, I don't know. It doesn't really make sense to me
1:07
I don't get it. I think it's not a wise decision on her part
1:12
and I think it could be the end of her career because look, you know, this guy that's running against her, he's no Trump fan
1:18
He's a Democrat. So it's not like and he's, you know, he's not a white guy. So it's not like they're gonna be like, well, you know, we want to keep a person of color
1:28
He's a person of color. So she has no real advantage over this guy and he's got less controversy surrounding him and she didn't debate him
1:36
To me, that's a massive mistake. I want you to watch this report and then let me know what you think when you like, comment, share, and subscribe
1:44
I'm Carmine Sabia for Explain America. We love you guys. God bless you
1:49
Take care, everybody. But while Biden is a yes to President Trump, another candidate in another race is a no and in fact was a no-show
1:58
Yesterday down in Georgian battled Fulton County DA Fawny Willis was missing in action on the debate stage
2:03
Instead, her one primary challenger fellow Democrat Christian Wise Smith debated and get this, he debated an empty podium
2:13
Let's meet the candidates. Christian Wise Smith is an author and attorney
2:19
Fawny Willis has served as Fulton County District Attorney since 2021. Ms. Willis declined to participate in the debate and is represented by an empty podium
2:29
DA Willis's office has been criticized for some for devoting substantial taxpayer resources to prosecuting former President Donald Trump and
2:38
14 of his allies. If you win, will you continue that case
2:43
You have to do things differently. You know, when you pay one attorney nearly a million dollars to handle one case
2:49
that leaves the rest of us vulnerable. That hurts everyone else in Fulton County
2:53
You know, I worked in that office and my salary was significantly less than what that attorney was paid
2:59
And I was responsible for handling a lot more cases than one. So we have to make sure that we see that case through in the best way possible while also addressing
3:09
everything else that impacts us in Fulton County. Women don't feel safe stopping at the gas pump at night
3:15
You know, I know victims of domestic violence who feel like their cases are being neglected and overlooked
3:21
So we need a DA who understands that we can pursue the big high profile cases while not leaving everybody else in Fulton County left behind
3:31
The lawyer Kristen Smith was referring to is former Fulton County Special Prosecutor Nathan Wade
3:35
And as you know, unless of course you've been living in a cave, DA Fawny Willis, who is seeking re-election and Nathan Wade had a romantic relationship
3:43
One that began prior to Willis hiring Wade as Special Prosecutor. Last month Wade resigned
3:48
but this after Judge Scott McAfee presiding over the Georgia election case first heard testimony from Willis
