Joe Biden gave a speech last night at the Democrat National Convention and he gave it really late at night
0:41
Now guys, I want you to love me because I stay awake
0:46
I watched this entire ridiculous thing, so you don't have to. So I could come here the next day and tell you what happened that you might be interested in
0:55
that might bear some importance to your life. So I had to sit through all of it
1:01
I had to sit through all of it. And I didn't ask for hazard pay. Had to have some caffeine to stay awake through that boring, boring convention, but I did it
1:11
And I'm here to tell you what Scott Jennings said on CNN last night
1:16
And what he said, I believe if you love Joe Biden, then you need to really enjoy his speech last night
1:27
It was a long one. Came after midnight. He screamed the entire time, which tells me that maybe he was given some, what's the word I'm looking for
1:41
A little boost, a little boost maybe to get through it. I got to say it properly
1:48
You know what I want to say. I'll just say a little boost. You can tell when that happens because he screams for the entire speech
1:56
Well, as Scott Jennings said, that's probably the last time you're ever going to see Joe Biden, except the day he leaves office
2:03
I want you to listen to what Mr. Jennings had to say. And then we know what you think in the comments
2:09
But I do observe Democrats and the vibe I felt in the hall tonight was one of, I'll use the sports metaphor, Anderson
2:16
You may want to, I'll translate for you later. But it's like you're cheering for a sports team or you love your favorite team and you're at the end of the game and you're way down, you're way down
2:24
And then all of a sudden they start coming back and then we're at the end of the game and there's a comeback on
2:28
That's kind of the vibe that I sense from Democrats in the hall. They were losing badly for months and they were going to lose and they knew it
2:36
And all of a sudden now the vibe in the hall is they feel like they've got a legitimate chance to win a game that they thought was lost
2:43
That inherently produces excitement and energy. I thought the Harris entrance was well choreographed, well done
2:50
And you could feel what you said right there at that moment. That was a genuine, genuine electric moment
2:56
I did think the video they played was interesting. They said, you know, we don't want to be divided, angry and oppressed, depressed
3:04
But, you know, we are divided under Biden. The American people, 70 percent, think we're off on the wrong track
3:09
We are angry and a lot of people do feel economically depressed
3:13
So that was their effort to try to divorce her from the feelings in the country
3:18
And then we had all these speakers. Some of them were, you know, anonymous, ranting mediocrities that pushed Joe Biden way deep into the night
3:27
You know, I kind of feel sorry for Biden. I mean, they took this away from him at the pinnacle of his career
3:32
I understand why he appeared angry at times. And I thought some of the speech met the moment
3:37
Some of it, though, was hyper partisan, frankly, false ranting about his opponent
3:46
And and I you know, I I understand what they had to do tonight
3:50
But it's clear to me that the Democrats wanted this to be as late as possible
3:55
And I hope if you love Joe Biden, I hope you watch closely because you may never see him again
