JD Vance was in Europe given a speech
0:36
today and guys he lit them up he lit
0:39
them up talking about you know you guys
0:42
in Europe you want to suppress Free
0:44
Speech you want you know in Europe I
0:46
don't know if you guys know this in most
0:47
European countries and in Canada too
0:50
there are laws that if you call people
0:51
certain names if you say certain words
0:54
they can put you in jail they don't have
0:57
free speech the way we have free speech
1:00
they police the internet over there in a
1:01
way that we haven't even dreamed of you
1:04
think some of the stuff that happens
1:05
here is like they're censoring you
1:07
forget it forget it you're watching me
1:10
right and I'm giving you conservative
1:11
talking points you can flip to another
1:13
YouTube channel right now get liberal
1:14
talking points you can get communist
1:17
talking points you can get fascist
1:19
talking points on YouTube we have free
1:21
speech in this country platforms like
1:23
YouTube and all these other platforms
1:25
they give us that free speech and
1:28
they're private companies they don't
1:29
have to but they do but over in Europe
1:32
it is not like that people are shut down
1:35
people are censored routinely over there
1:38
and you know they complained a lot about
1:41
Russia bought ads in the United States
1:43
and that influenced the 2016
1:45
presidential election it's a threat to
1:46
democracy no no no you guys are a threat
1:48
to democracy and now what they're
1:50
worried about the most is Elon Musk Elon
1:53
Musk scares the beebs out of
1:56
them but you know JD mans he had a
2:00
really really good comeback for that I
2:02
splc these two little pieces of video
2:04
together cu the two best parts in my
2:05
opinion it's about less than two minutes
2:08
to watch it I want you to watch it and
2:10
let me know what you think in the
2:11
comments and expressing opinions isn't
2:14
election interference even when people
2:16
Express views outside your own country
2:19
and even when those people are very
2:22
influential and trust me I say this with
2:24
all humor if American democracy can
2:27
survive 10 years of Greta ber scolding
2:31
you guys can survive a few months of
2:32
Elon
2:34
Musk but what German
2:37
democracy what no democracy American
2:40
German or european Will Survive is
2:42
telling millions of Voters that their
2:44
thoughts and concerns their aspirations
2:47
their pleas for Relief are invalid or
2:50
Unworthy of even being considered
2:53
Europeans the people have a voice
2:57
European leaders have a choice and my
3:00
strong belief is that we do not need to
3:03
be afraid of the future you can Embrace
3:06
what your people tell you even when it's
3:08
surprising even when you don't agree and
3:12
if you do so you can face the future
3:14
with certainty and with confidence
3:15
knowing that the nation stands behind
3:18
each of you and that to me is the great
3:21
magic of democracy it's not in these
3:24
Stone buildings or beautiful hotels it's
3:26
not even in the great institutions that
3:28
we have built together as a shared
3:31
Society to believe in democracy is to
3:34
understand that each of our citizens has
3:37
wisdom and has a voice and if we refuse
3:41
to listen to that voice even our most
3:43
successful fights will secure very
3:47
little as Pope John Paul II in my view
3:50
one of the most extraordinary champions
3:52
of democracy on this continent or any
3:55
other once said do not be afraid we
3:59
shouldn't be afraid of our people even
4:01
when they express views that disagree
4:04
with their leadership thank you all good
4:06
luck to all of you God bless you
