0:30
absolutely free it really helps us
0:34
out you know I don't think you should
0:36
use the presidency of the United States
0:38
awards given by the federal government
0:41
bestowed upon people from the presidency
0:45
as a way to troll your political
0:48
opponents and that is what it appears
0:50
President Biden just did it also could
0:53
be a signal that pardons are coming for
0:55
people like Liz Cheney and Benny
0:58
Thompson who served on on the January 6
1:01
committee see what President Biden
1:04
decided was that he was going to give
1:05
one of the nation's highest
1:07
honors to those two people among a group
1:10
of others but Liz Cheney and Benny
1:13
Thompson of the famed and reviled
1:17
January 6 Commission in my opinion
1:20
discredited January 6 commission he's
1:22
going to give them one of the nation's
1:24
highest honors now I think that's
1:26
absolutely abhorent I think it's a
1:28
direct shot at Donald Trump Trump just
1:31
about 18 days before he goes back into
1:34
the White House as president of the
1:35
United States to me and I would watch
1:37
for this it signals that these people
1:39
are going to get a pardon and when they
1:41
do and if they do the question I would
1:44
ask is pardon for what in order to be
1:47
pardoned you have to have committed a
1:50
crime if you're saying though there's
1:51
going to be a Witch Hunt against them
1:53
well that's what happened to Trump for
1:54
four years so what are you concerned
1:56
about if there's a Witch Hunt and you
1:57
did nothing wrong
1:59
why the need for a pardon I believe the
2:02
pardon is coming after this I want you
2:04
to watch for it but right now I want you
2:06
to watch this and let me know what you
2:08
think in the comments over after being
2:10
lit and sparked the
2:13
blast President Biden has revealed that
2:15
20 Americans he will honor today with a
2:17
presidential citizens medal one of the
2:19
highest civilian honors and there is one
2:22
notable name on that list former
2:24
Republican Congressman Liz Cheney Biden
2:27
also will award the repres congressman
2:29
Benny Thompson with the same award
2:31
Cheney and Thompson led the
2:33
Congressional committee that
2:34
investigated the January 6 Capital
2:37
attack and uh now what do you think
2:41
about uh that move by Biden to give
2:45
Cheney a award here obviously someone
2:48
who has
2:49
been you know centor to Donald Trump's
2:52
attacks almost uh I don't know if you
2:54
say poking him in the eye but sending a
2:56
message certainly and just a few days
2:59
before the the 4th anniversary of the
3:00
January 6th attack on Congress it'll
3:03
play into this increasingly tense
3:04
interplay between the outgoing president
3:07
and the incoming president I think it
3:09
will also lead to questions about
3:10
whether this will be the only thing that
3:12
the president Awards uh to Liz Cheney uh
3:15
Benny Thompson and other members of the
3:17
committee there's been talk about
3:19
whether he would offer a pardon given
3:22
the fact that especially Cheney has been
3:25
rumored to be a target of the incoming
3:27
Trump justice department not and also
3:30
the the the the Congress the incoming
3:32
Republican Congress yeah what do you
3:34
think of the most I was looking at the
3:35
list before the break it's a random
3:37
assortment of folks whether it's Liz
3:38
Cheney Benny Thompson Chris Dodd Carolyn
3:40
McCarthy former congresswoman um look I
3:43
I this might be seem seem at its face
3:46
obviously in award could also be a very
3:48
subtle maybe not so subtle troll of
3:50
trump and look we'll see my advice if if
3:53
I'm giving advice to president Trump on
3:55
this one let this pitch pass be very
3:57
different I think if there was any sort
3:59
of preemptive pardon that way I think uh
4:01
you know create a very different set of
4:02
circumstances this is some random award
4:05
that
