White House Makes Shocking Brittney Griner Announcement - Truth Behind Her Release

So come join us. News broke today that Britney Griner was being exchanged

for known arms dealer Victor Boot. Now, this man is considered by many a very, very dangerous man and a terrorist

We traded him and we didn't get Paul Whelan back, a Marine who valiantly served his country

But we did get back is a basketball player who did not want to stand for the national anthem and got caught with marijuana

So a lot of people are saying it's not very fair trade. One of those people is Peter Doocy

So I want you to listen to what Peter Doocy has to say. Then I want you to listen to something else

Corrine Jean-Pierre said when she was speaking to reporters today about the trade

and it kind of will reveal to you what I believe and what a lot of people believe was really the reason

they work so hard for Britney Griner and not for Paul Whelan. Here were our choices

Our choices was Britney or no one at all. Bring home one American or no American at all

And that's that's a lot. We gave up a prolific arms dealer who was convicted of trying to kill Americans

who was called the merchant of death. The professional athlete is also an American citizen

Treat Paul Whelan differently, given the nature of the total totally illegitimate charges they have levied against Paul

Unfortunately, the choice became to either bring Britney home or no one

As the president said this morning, he will he will never stop working to secure Paul's release and return home

And he will not give up. On a personal note, Britney is more than an athlete, more than an Olympian

She is an important role model and inspiration to millions of Americans

particularly the LGBTQI plus Americans and women of color. She should never have been detained by Russia

And we are I am deeply proud of the work that the president has done

So judging by that video, you can see Ducey takes her straight to task

for what she did and for what the White House did. You traded a known murderer, a guy who's responsible for countless deaths

and you traded him for a basketball player. Now, I'm not saying Britney Griner shouldn't be home

I think we all as Americans think she was too harshly sentenced

And I think I speak for a lot of people when I say we're glad that she's home with her family this Christmas

But what about Paul Whelan? See, a lot of us believe and a lot of people on Twitter believe

and it's been trending all day that Britney Griner was the priority because Britney Griner is a female, is black and is LGBTQ

Those are the boxes you check to get noticed by a Democrat administration

If you want help from the Democrats and you are a woman of color

and you happen to be gay and you happen to be famous

you're going to get a little more credence than a Marine really nobody knows about

And they say they're going to keep working on Paul Whelan, but they've been working on that forever

And the number one trade ship we had. Was Victor Boot. There's a number one trade ship we had, and we just traded him

What else could we possibly give Russia? What could we possibly do short of saying

we're going to stop helping Ukraine that would get Paul Whelan home? Not anything I could think of

I think they made this trade know what it would score points for the administration and it would be a nice boost for them

But I don't think they thought about the full picture here. But please let us know what you think in the comments
