0:41
We want to see you there. Definitely. Thank you, guys. And here we go with the story
0:45
So Britney Griner is facing some serious, serious conditions in a Russian penal colony, a prison camp, a hard labor camp right now
0:55
In fact, it's known as the worst one in Russia. It's called IK2
1:00
And a former prisoner, Nadia Tolokonova, said it is like basically hell on earth
1:06
In fact, there is a sign at the prison when the prisoners go in that literally says in Russian, translate it, welcome to hell
1:16
She said the prisoners work in slave like conditions. And it's so bad that prisoners have committed suicide from being there
1:25
It is literally, according to her, the worst prison in all of Russia
1:29
Now, now a lot of us can say what we want about Britney Griner. She shouldn't have broke the law in Russia
1:33
Obviously, she was not a fan of the national anthem in the United States, obviously
1:39
And, you know, a lot of people say, well, she's getting her just desserts. But, you know, I look at it as an American and I say nine and a half years in a hard labor camp because you had a tiny smidge of marijuana in a vape pen
1:55
Come on, at this point, she's a political prisoner. And I think it would be political of us as conservatives because she didn't stand for the national anthem and all that
2:04
That we wanted to get nine years of hard labor, nine and a half years of hard labor
2:08
I don't. I think it's I think it's gone far beyond. And I believe here's the thing, though
2:13
I believe former President Donald Trump would have had her home spending Thanksgiving with her family this year
2:19
That's the thing. He proved it. He proved it when a bunch of American basketball players were detained in North Korea and he got them home with a week, week, two weeks
2:28
He got them home. Brittney Greiner sitting there and she's going to rot. She's going to rot while Joe Biden is in office
2:34
And her wife is sitting here singing the praises of Joe Biden all the time
2:37
The Biden administration, this and the Biden administration, Biden's just doing nothing. They made one offer
2:42
As far as we know, they made one offer and Russia's still mulling it over
2:46
Meanwhile, this woman's doing hard labor. Her attorneys say that she is losing hope and that she's despondent
2:55
Of course, she's despondent because she's trying to look at the real prospect of spending the entire nine and a half years there
3:01
And that's terrible. Like I said, for for such a minor infraction, I personally think that's terrible
3:06
But you guys tell me in the comments what you think about it. Hey, guys, I want to thank you for watching Explain America today
