Tucker Gets Last Laugh On Fox News As Struggling Network Announces More Firings

They're really paying the price for what's going on after the Tucker Carlson firing

Those little things, they really help us out and help our channel grow and help us spread

the conservative message, especially when we can't trust others to do it

This has been reeling since they decided to let go of their most popular host, which

is a curious decision in any environment, but especially in the cable news environment

when there is competition for the dollar. Now we've seen videos where people have said that advertisers were scared to advertise

with Tucker Carlson and that those advertisers are starting to come back, but when you consider

that Tucker was the flagship and you're probably losing ratings, well not probably, we know

you're losing ratings on other shows since Tucker's departure, it was worth keeping him

just for that. You're still paying him, you're just now paying him to sit home

And if the advertisers aren't getting the audience they want, well then those advertising

rates go down. So to say the advertisers are coming back is disingenuous at best, it's a weak argument

and I think kind of silly at the end of the day. That being said, they are reeling and they are making more cuts, more firings, according

to an article from Rolling Stone. Rolling Stone talked to Fox News sources who said that Fox News has cut its entire investigative

journalism department. Now this is the core of any news network. You have your opinion guys and you have all that stuff and you have your fun shows, but

how you break stories is you have investigative journalists. You see now I come on here and I tell you stuff because I'm a pundit, I'm a reporter

I'm not an investigative journalist. I tell you about what investigative journalists find

It's how we get stories that perhaps the Biden administration doesn't want us to have

There's investigative journalists who do that work. If you lose them, you just have opinion guys who aren't getting any facts to have an opinion on

I don't really know how they're going to work that. They're not going to have any scoops with that investigative journalism department

But Fox News spoke to the New York Daily News. A spokesperson for them said that that story from Rolling Stone is not entirely true

Now catch this. They said only three people of that seven-person department were actually affected, affected

meaning laid off, and that four people were offered reassignment positions within the company

Now, it doesn't say if they accepted those reassignment positions, but the way they worded

it was basically a nicer way of saying, yeah, Rolling Stone was right

We got rid of the investigative journalism department. Apparently, according to a source at Fox News, they have to take a lot of money off the books

before June because of the Dominion lawsuit and the record setting payment they had to

pay them. And one of the sources said, hey, it's not really fair

You're punishing people who had nothing to do with it, while the executives who benefited

from all that stuff are still sitting there with their huge paychecks. Now, I'm not here to judge Fox News or their decision-making

The news industry is very hard, and they make the decisions they have to make

I don't know. I'm not in those meetings, so I can't really judge that

But what I can judge is the perception. The perception is you got rid of Tucker Carlson, you're bleeding viewers, and this is hurting
