Donald Trump is not one to back down and
0:34
he doesn't pick people who back down
0:37
that's just the way he's built it's just
0:39
the way it works and that's who he is
0:42
it's who he surrounds himself with and
0:46
to that end Pete hget is one of those
0:49
guys that is is a fighter you guys have
0:53
seen it obviously he's a warrior he's a
0:54
decorated Warrior from our
0:57
military and Donald Trump is not pulling
1:01
him back see Matt Gates was a different
1:02
case Matt Gates had a lot of enemies in
1:06
DC he got in a lot of fights with a lot
1:09
of Representatives a lot of senators it
1:11
was going to be almost impossible to get
1:13
him the votes he needed to get
1:15
confirmed not because he's not qualified
1:18
not because he's a bad guy because he's
1:20
a fighter and he fights for what he
1:22
believes in I thought that I didn't like
1:26
the fight he had over the Speaker of the
1:27
House situation I didn't like how that
1:29
worked out I was was not a fan of that I
1:30
expressed that I told you guys that but
1:34
he was a fighter and that's why he's not
1:36
there well Pete heg set a fighter too
1:38
and he's going to be there is he going
1:40
to get confirmed I don't know will the
1:42
Republican Senators capitulate and cave
1:45
and bend the knee I pray they don't but
1:47
they
1:49
could and it won't be because heg set or
1:52
Trump back down that much I do believe
1:55
and heg set actually revealed what Trump
1:57
said to him on a phone call just this
1:59
morning
2:00
and he was talking to a reporter about
2:02
it I want you to watch this quick video
2:04
and let me know what you think in the
2:07
comments have you had any conversations
2:11
with the president about replacing you
2:14
with Governor santis I spoke to the
2:17
president-elect this morning he said
2:19
keep going keep quiting behind you all
2:21
the way so you're in this all the way
2:23
why would I back down I've always been a
2:25
fighter I here for the war
2:27
Fighters um this is person passionate
2:30
for me not withdrawing your name from
2:32
consideration just to be clear we're
2:34
meeting all day with Senators I know
2:36
