0:33
You're going to go right to our group. We're going to let you in. We're all going to have a good time together. We're going to chat about these videos and these stories
0:38
And it's a real conservative kind of MAGA group. And I think you're going to like it
0:44
So after counting votes for about a week, give or take conservative firebrand Lauren Boebert has won her race now
0:52
because of the tight margin of the race. The automatic recount in her state is triggered
0:59
which means they have to automatically recount the votes, obviously. And it was it was a less than 600 vote lead
1:07
So it is small. However, both Boebert and her opponent. And this is the key
1:11
Adam Frisch said that traditionally Colorado recounts don't move the needle much one way or the other
1:17
And he actually called Boebert to concede the election. And then he made his announcement that he had conceded the election to her
1:25
On his Twitter page. So the race is over. Boebert is in and adds another seat to the Republican majority
1:32
And that's huge right now. Every seat matters. Every seat is huge
1:37
In the meantime, in another story, Carrie Lake. She also sees a path for herself to victory for Arizona governor
1:47
Now, in her case, it's a little more complicated. Hobbs has won by her opponent, Katie Hobbs, has won by
1:54
somewhere in the neighborhood of 30,000 votes, which is a large margin. And Lake is, you know, wanting to contest it
2:01
She wants to make sure all the votes are valid and legal. And that's her right
2:05
I believe she is within the margin to get a recount. So she is going to explore all her legal alternatives at this point
2:13
And what she announced today, though, was significant. Her announcement today was that she had hired a legal team
2:22
to look into all of this stuff and to actually argue her case for her
2:27
Now, you know, we can't get our hopes up. We don't know what's going to happen
2:31
Of course, voting is is complicated business. And, you know, a 30,000 vote lead does kind of seem insurmountable
2:39
When you look at the millions of votes cast. It's not a very high percentage of votes, so it is
2:46
in terms of of an entire state race. It's razor thin. So when you look at the Bobert race, you say 500 votes
2:53
And you look at the lake races at 30,000 votes. It seems like night and day, right
2:57
But Bobert is a district. So it's you know, there's how many districts in your state
3:02
You know, there's usually dozens of districts in your state versus an entire state
3:07
So a district is very small. An entire state, 30,000 votes, not that big
3:13
And, you know, in comparison to a district being around, you know, a 500 vote lead there, they're kind of in the same vein
3:20
So it's going to be interesting to see how that works out. But the good news is we have another member of the House
3:26
And the other good news is Lake is still fighting. Hey, folks, I hope you enjoyed today's video
