Hey ladies and gentlemen, this is Carmine Sabia for Explain America, and the Joe Biden
0:04
campaign just got horrific news. His ship is sinking and time is running out

Those little things really help us out, and they help our channel continue to grow
0:19
Look, we all know it, we see it, we see the videos, we hear the gaffes, we see him shaking
0:24
hands with air, we see him wandering on stage, we hear the speeches that don't seem to make
0:30
sense, we hear him forgetting the names of people in his own administration, his cabinet
0:34
members, making countless mistakes, and it's been happening for the entire presidency
0:39
it's not new. And more importantly, you see the polls. Democrat voters want somebody different, they want somebody else
0:48
They've said as much in the polls. And yet Biden, stubborn as ever, sticking this thing out
0:56
He's going straight ahead, it seems, it appears, I don't think he's officially announced, but
1:01
it appears he's going straight ahead into the 2024 presidential election, likely taking
1:07
on former President Donald Trump, who is near the same age, but not exactly in the same
1:14
position as Joe Biden. And those comparisons even brought an anti-Trump Republican political consultant to say, hey
1:24
maybe this is a huge mistake. Let's take a look. With you, are Democrats reading too much into what the good results this week in this election
1:35
say about 2024, should Joe Biden still step down and not run for a second term
1:42
I think, unfortunately, the answer is yes. And that the best time for him to have done it was January of this year, not right now
1:49
Allow Democrats to have a robust primary process, allow them to get through it, vet people who
1:53
are currently unvetted. But now, look, time is running out. And I think what these results show you is that the Democratic brand has some fundamental strengths
2:02
Low propensity voters, affluent, educated folks will turn out in large numbers for Democrats
2:08
But Joe Biden himself is a weakness. And this has been true since the Afghanistan pullout
2:13
This is not just this year. It's not new. It started a long time ago
2:17
Cara, the issue is I don't think time's running out for Biden to withdraw from the campaign
2:23
for president. I think it's too late. How would you do a primary now with Democrats
2:27
It would be insanity. They would literally have to pick somebody privately and just do a nonsense primary campaign
2:37
That meant nothing. I would think they would pick Gavin Newsom. He would seem to be the most blatant choice
2:43
Although with the identity politics in the Democrat Party, Kamala Harris is more likely
2:47
And is she polling any better than Joe Biden? Not really. So I think they're in a very tough situation
2:58
And it's of their own doing. They made this situation. Because old man River didn't give him a promise that he was only going to serve one term
3:06
It was just assumed he was going to serve only one term. I don't know what happened behind closed doors, but he never said I'm only going to serve
3:12
one term. And that, I think, is the issue. It was very short-sighted
3:17
And now they did it to get rid of their nightmare, which is Donald Trump
3:21
But now it can come back to haunt them. Because not only would you get a Donald Trump back, but you're going to get a furious Donald
3:29
Trump back. And I don't think the Democrats are prepared for that
3:34
What do you guys think? Should he have dropped out of the race? Is there still time for him to get out of the race
3:38
Do you think he will get out of the race? Let me know in the comments
3:42
