'The Charges Are Too Far': Trump Just Got Incredible News

Hey ladies and gentlemen, this is Carmine Sabia for Explain America, and former President

Donald Trump, well he just got some fantastic news from an unlikely source, a top Democrat

So as you know, former President Donald Trump has a litany, a litany of charges against him

He has charges in Washington D.C. and Florida, which are being tried by Special Prosecutor

Jack Smith. In New York, he has charges against him that are being tried in a Manhattan courtroom

by District Attorney Alvin Bragg, and then in Fulton County, Georgia, he has charges

against him that are being tried by District Attorney Fannie Willis. Now all of this has one Democrat congressperson concerned, and that congressperson is California

Democrat Ro Khanna. Now Ro Khanna says that he thinks a lot of the charges have gone too far, and what he's

concerned about is that Trump will not get a quote, fair fight, end quote, in the 2024

presidential election. He was talking to conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt, where he expressed his dismay

for it. He said, look, if there's charges that have to be brought, they have to be brought, fine

but you're picking trial dates one day before Super Tuesday? You're picking trial dates that are during the election season

How can the man have a fair chance at the 2024 election if you keep having him in court

during the 2024 election? That did not make sense to Ro Khanna, doesn't make sense to me, probably doesn't make sense

to you, and it doesn't seem fair. So if, like Representative Khanna, you are somebody who cares about the rule of law

if you're somebody who cares about fairness in our elections, if you're somebody who cares

about the voters getting to decide who the next president of the United States is, well

then all of this should be a concern for you. Now, a lot of these district attorneys have made moves to expedite the trials, to get

it done quicker, to get it done during and before the presidential election, during the

election season and before the presidential election. Now Trump claims that this is election interference

In my opinion, it's not the definition of election interference by the book, but in

spirit it is election interference, in my opinion. Now, you could argue that these career prosecutors don't care about politics, they only care

about their trial right before them that they're looking at. Okay, you can make that case with special counsel Jack Smith, but can you make that

case with elected Democrat Alvin Brooks? Can you make that case with elected Democrat Fannie Willis

It's a lot tougher to make that case. And then you start to wonder why those particular trial dates were picked

That's what Ro Khanna was talking about. So Ro Khanna, obviously not somebody who wants to vote for President Trump, but he's been

an outspoken Democrat in the past. He's talked about Democrat failures on the border, for example

That's an area where he finds his party, and I find his party, to be failing

So he's not a guy that just toes the line and does what the Democrat party tells him

to do, says what the Democrat party says to say. He's a guy who actually stands up for what he believes in, which is a refreshing change

in Washington, D.C., if we're being honest, guys. And I for one appreciate that he would go on a conservative show and say these things

Now will this get play in the mainstream media? No. That's why you watch Explain America, because we're going to bring you information that

the mainstream media is not going to give you, that they don't want you to know. And so for that reason and others, I give Ro Khanna a lot of credit, and I thank you
