0:35
out
0:37
guys this was a very tough case the
0:39
Jordan Neely case was was very tough for
0:42
a lot of reasons um somebody lost a life
0:45
and that's never okay it's never fun
0:48
it's never it's never something that we
0:50
we take lightly right Jordan Ney lost
0:53
his life and and it's tragic it's sad
0:55
it's sad because he was failed by the
0:57
people that are supposed to protect him
0:59
he wasn't failed
1:00
by Daniel Penny he was failed being
1:03
known as one of the most at risk
1:05
homeless people in New York City and
1:08
nobody did anything to help this man and
1:11
then you know his dad comes out and
1:12
talks about my son I miss my son he was
1:16
at risk he needed help where were
1:18
you your son was homeless where were you
1:22
pop now that you can cash in with a
1:24
lawsuit now that you can get yourself on
1:26
TV you're all over the place and I'm not
1:27
saying you're not in pain what I'm
1:29
asking you is what was your
1:30
responsibility in
1:32
this Daniel peny protected people he
1:35
thought people were in danger he
1:37
protected them and he protected himself
1:40
and in a recent interview he said he
1:41
would do it again an interview we had
1:43
with judge Niro he said he would do it
1:44
again to protect innocent people I
1:47
respect that I respect this man I think
1:50
he's a good man and I think that he was
1:53
in a horrible situation that he didn't
1:54
want to be in nobody wants to be in that
1:57
situation but I'll tell you what if of
2:00
us are on a train or a plane or wherever
2:02
we are and something like that happens
2:04
you'd be damn lucky to have a Daniel
2:06
Penny on there to protect
2:07
you you know men real men they're in
2:10
short supply these days because of
2:13
things like this getting prosecuted for
2:15
doing what a man's supposed to do
2:17
protect innocent people so this video
2:20
here of Mr Penny it bothered a lot of
2:24
people because in it you could see
2:25
moments after the verdict he's out there
2:27
celebrating in a bar but I say good
2:30
good for him he's been put through hell
2:33
for no reason I want you to check this
2:36
video out of Mr Penny he says something
2:38
in this video too gives his first public
2:40
statements so I want you to watch this
2:42
and then let me know what you think in
2:44
the comments how you
2:47
feeling yeah he's feeling good he's
2:49
feeling good he's feeling good what's
2:52
up come
2:54
together how's it going how's it feel
2:57
feels great he's finally got the Justice
2:59
he's deserved
3:01
did you think it was going to happen
3:04
sorry uh no we think that this is uh
3:09
this should have happened probably on
3:10
day one but uh the point thing is it
3:12
happened so uh we can't control the
3:15
timing of it but uh we can certainly
3:17
Savor the uh the outcome and why do you
3:19
think it was not guilty
3:22
in that's that
3:24
guy well he's not guilty on a few
3:26
different reasons because his actions
3:28
were Justified he was trying to help
3:30
people on that train and he did um and
3:32
number two he's not responsible for the
3:35
death because the death was caused by a
3:36
lot of other factors that we tried to
3:38
present with a lot of clarity such as
3:40
the K2 abuse and the Sickle Cell the
3:43
sickling crisis and uh and cardiac
3:46
issues not to mention the paranoid
3:48
schizophrenia which only added to that
3:50
impact so I'm just glad that the jury
3:51
was able to truly evaluate that it's a
3:54
potential cause of death and that Danny
3:55
was justified in the actions that he
3:57
took
