Hey ladies and gentlemen, this is Carmine Sabia for Explain America and Rashida Tlaib, a member of the squad and a Democrat who, as you guys know, supports Palestine
0:10
She just went on a whining spree after finally getting punished by Congress for her anti-Israel commentary
0:19
Before we get started, folks, please make sure you like, comment, share, and subscribe
0:23
Those little things really help us out, and they help our channel continue to grow
0:28
So Rashida Tlaib went on MSNBC, which is friendly territory, and it was friendly to her
0:34
And what she wanted to talk about was that people just don't understand her
0:38
Her colleagues just don't understand her. We just don't understand her. Apparently, we're having trouble reading what she types and listening to what she says
0:49
Because we're hearing it, and we're reading it, but apparently we just don't understand her, guys
0:54
It's our fault. It's our fault. And so she whines to MSNBC about it, which is a place, if you're a liberal, you go to whine
1:02
Let's take a look. Now, Congressman, thank you for coming on tonight
1:06
I just want to start by asking what your conversations with your Democratic colleagues have been like over the last 24 hours
1:13
particularly if you've talked to any of the 22 that voted for the censure resolution
1:17
I mean, many of my colleagues know I have an open-door policy
1:22
They can come and talk to me about this. And they know the conversation will lead in me urging them to please save as many lives as possible
1:29
and that means calling for a cease-fire. Again, my colleagues know where my heart is
1:34
and they know that I have been pushing from day one of coexistence of the days where both my grandparents
1:40
when they were born there, that there was coexistence among all faiths, living in peace
1:47
And, you know, much of what I'm seeing is distortion of my words
1:52
also in trying to silence my residents who have been calling from the beginning of freedom
1:58
freedom from inequality, freedom from the occupation, freedom from the violence. And so it has been really difficult, I think, for me as I walk on the House floor
2:07
walking there, watching many of the colleagues that voted for this not engage me
2:11
And they know I'm ready. I'm ready to have those conversations. I think they're missing an opportunity to talk to a Palestinian, a Palestinian-American, serving with them
2:21
I have a lived experience that needs to be shared and be heard
2:25
I want to sort of stipulate here that I don't, I think the central resolution is a sort of ludicrous distraction amidst
2:30
Now I'm going to go ahead and disagree. I think we understood you perfectly, Ms. Tlaib, Representative Tlaib
2:36
I think we understood you perfectly. You hate Israel. You hate Israel
2:41
And you think that there's a genocide in Gaza. And listen, I stand with you in one regard
2:49
I don't want to see Palestinian children die. Don't want to see the women die. Don't want to see innocent men die
2:55
I don't want to see anybody innocent die. I don't think anybody believes it
2:59
I don't think anybody wants to see that, right? But here we are
3:03
And Hamas started this war. The only way to stop it is for Hamas to surrender
3:09
That's all they have to do, and this is over. Guys, I want to know what you think about this
3:13
Let me know in the comments. Also, please remember to like, share, and subscribe. It really helps us out
3:18
