Ocasio-Cortez Sets Off Firestorm In Democrat Party After 2024 Endorsement - Accused Of Betrayal

So Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez just went in a totally different direction than I think a

lot of people expected her to go. She gave her opinion and her presidential endorsement on the 2024 election

Who she wants to be the Democrat nominee for president. I think it's going to actually surprise you

So Ocasio-Cortez has championed for years that she is a true progressive

She wants that Green New Deal. She wants major progressive initiatives. She certainly does not want to send cluster bombs overseas to other countries

She doesn't want war. She wants peace. She wants socialism. A lot of things that a lot of young progressive candidates stand for

Now there are a couple in the race and I'm going to tell you one that wasn't mentioned

in this clip. One that I think aligns even more with AOC than the one she picked

But let's take a look at the show Pod Save America with host Jon Favreau, not the actor

but the one who worked for former President Obama. He's asked point blank who she endorses in 2024 and she gives an answer that again set

off a firestorm with people saying she committed an act of betrayal to her cause

Let's take a look at this. So president's only primary opponents are Marianne Williamson, Robert F. Kennedy Jr

Haven't been any rumors about anyone else even thinking about jumping in

Will you be supporting Joe Biden for re-election? I believe given that feel, yes

I think he's done quite well given the limitations that we have

I do think that there are ebbs and flows as there are in any presidency

There are areas that I think were quite strong when he came right out of the gate with the

American Rescue Plan. And of course the Inflation Reduction Act was a massive step in terms of our climate agenda

But you know, there are also areas that I think could have gone better

We have major structural issues in this country and I think it starts with the United States

Senate and I think that until we have senators that are willing to stand up and stare the

filibuster in the eye and stare, a lot of structural issues about the Senate

And the United States Senate will be what holds back this country from an enormous amount

of progress. Now it's considered an act of betrayal because he's not a progressive

He's anything but a progressive. He's kind of progressive in terms of a normal Democrat, but I mean not progressive like

she's talking about. The candidate who was not mentioned here, who I think is the most progressive and could

be the most dangerous to Joe Biden, Cornel West. Cornel West is super progressive, way to the left

Probably to the left of AOC. Probably to the left of Bernie Sanders. He's off the deep end progressive and I really thought he might get her endorsement except

she now is a politician, a full-fledged politician. She wants a score point to the Democrat party and stick with them and you know, get the

payoff at the end of the day. Her pot of gold at the end of the rainbow

That's what she wants. That's what she, she's all in now. She's all in and this endorsement kind of proved it

Endorsing Joe Biden when she endorsed Bernie Sanders the last time around, very interesting
