Not Happening: Cheney’s Plan to Get Trump Backfires

Liz Cheney has found her spot, her home as it were, on the January 6th committee

This has given her life purpose and meaning, at least I think it did

But you know, as she alienated her fellow Republicans and no Democrats ever going to

be on board with her positions on abortion or, you know, other matters, tax cuts, things

like that, that they just are vehemently on opposite sides of the fence. I mean, she is a conservative at the end of the day, make no mistake

She's a conservative who despises former president Donald Trump, but her conservatism is on display

all the time. So the Democrats will never fully side with her. They'll just side with her enough to get her to do their bidding

Well, now it seems even members of the January 6th committee, the staff on the January 6th

committee, they're tired of her shenanigans. They're claiming that she's changing parts of the investigation to directly target Donald

Trump, to go after Donald Trump and make it a political thing so she can launch her 2024

campaign for the presidency. The thing is, she's not denying it. In fact, her spokesperson said, of course, she's focused on Donald Trump

She blames him for everything that happened, you know, and that is the focus of her investigation

But what she said was also, or what her spokesperson said was, she wasn't on board with a lot of

the liberal biases that were in the committee notes in the investigation

A lot of the old tropes about Republicans and white supremacy and this and that

And so she wants to edit that stuff out. And you know, she didn't want it, according to her, to become a political hit piece

Unless it's a political hit piece on Donald Trump. She doesn't want to get all Republicans, mind you, but she does want to get Donald Trump

Oh, she wants to get him. In fact, not long ago, she said that she would consider running for the presidency, do anything

to keep him from the White House. Now, I know what you're thinking. Same as me, right

She has as good of a chance of winning the primary as I do, or as you do

Not much, right? That's not the issue. The issue is if President Donald Trump or former President Donald Trump wins the nomination

can a Liz Cheney, can a Liz Cheney as an independent, quote, conservative, draw enough Republicans

away from Trump, enough Republicans who don't like Trump that would sign on with her just

so she can draw enough votes away so that the Democrat wins

So you know, I don't know what form of Republicanism that is

I couldn't imagine a Democrat doing that to their party. But this is Liz Cheney we're talking about

And I think her motives are very selfish. I think she maybe is angling for a spot on one of these news networks or maybe The View

Who knows? I don't know. But you know, maybe her motives are pure

Maybe she just hates this man that much that she's sacrificing everything just to get him
