out Mel Gibson appeared on Fox News
0:25
during the confirmation vote of Pete
0:27
hegf and he had a lot to say
0:30
but one thing in particular he said set
0:32
social media on fire Democrats hating it
0:37
Republicans loving it but what Gibson
0:39
said was he said it's good to have
0:41
Donald Trump back he said it's like
0:44
daddy came home and he took his belt off
0:48
and man people were on fire about that
0:50
comment oh Republicans called Trump
0:52
Daddy no no we don't no and M Gibson
0:55
didn't call him daddy it was an example
0:58
it was a euphemism
1:00
how the kids jump to attention when
1:02
Daddy comes home and starts you know
1:03
taking the belt off that's what's
1:06
happening here because Trump is whipping
1:08
this country into shape getting us back
1:10
on track getting the woke PC nonsense
1:13
out of our schools out of our government
1:17
out of our lives and maybe people don't
1:20
like that maybe some people feel
1:23
triggered by that but let me tell you
1:26
guys
1:27
something and I'm sure you guys know it
1:29
because you're watching in me and you
1:31
wouldn't be watching me if you had this
1:32
mindset but for the Liberals and for
1:34
your liberal friends you can explain to
1:35
them you have a lot of rights in the
1:37
Constitution a lot of them but you don't
1:40
have the right to not be
1:42
offended sometimes you're just going to
1:44
be offended that's a price of free
1:46
speech I can be offended you can be
1:49
offended they can be offended no one has
1:52
to not offend you no one has to tiptoe
1:54
around your
1:56
sensitivities be a big boy and big girl
1:59
get with the program I want you guys to
2:01
watch what Mr Gibson said here and let
2:03
me know what you think in the comment
2:05
hey I'm here to be a service you know
2:08
yeah good for you um and I know Sly
2:11
feels the same way and John Voit uh
2:13
feels the same way as well and I think
2:14
the three of you actually can really
2:16
help um the film industry has been hurt
2:19
in so many different ways in part
2:20
because of rules and regulations and
2:22
high taxes uh like so many other liberal
2:26
Democratic states how bad has it been
2:29
you you've been living through these
2:30
wildfires you you you read about
2:33
hydrants that don't have water you read
2:35
about cutting firefighters budgets you
2:37
read about reservoirs that are empty I
2:40
mean it's got to be
2:42
frustrating well it is and this
2:45
Confluence of events coming together
2:47
there are those who say hey they must
2:49
have done it on purpose I won't go that
2:50
far but if they didn't do it on purpose
2:52
I think they certainly facilitated it
2:55
and I um you know my heart goes out to
2:57
all the other residents uh you meet
3:00
people all the time who've lost their
3:02
homes and you know you talk and
3:04
commiserate and buck each other up and
3:06
everyone's putting on a brave face
3:07
they're they're uh there they're a good
3:10
bunch out here uh I'm glad Trump's here
3:12
at the moment uh you know it's like
3:14
Daddy arrived and he's taking his belt
3:16
off you know so I think he'll get some
3:19
results here quickly and
3:21
um um you know as far as uh being an
3:25
ambassador goes I think you know looking
3:27
at uh tax incentives I know uh new gave
3:30
some tax incentives but maybe not enough
3:32
because it's still not working and uh
3:35
there are other things that offset that
3:37
I mean I had to shoot a film for one day
3:41
in LA and it was cheaper for me to take
3:43
the whole crew and fly them to Europe
3:47
and shoot for three days Lodge them fly
3:50
them everything than it was to shoot one
3:53
day just down the road so there's
3:55
something wrong there and I think uh
3:57
there are solutions I know Arnold try to
3:59
a playing field years ago he couldn't do
4:01
it because uh there were you know there
4:05
were obstacles he tried
4:07
though yeah you know I I I look at this
4:11
and I I mean
4:17
