McCarthy Could Be Finished - Shocking Name Could Be Next Speaker

emerged to become the next Speaker of the House, possibly. And we're going to get into that in just a second, and believe me, it's going to blow

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy's having a tough time. A lot of people blaming him for the lack of a red wave

We all expected a red wave. We were all duped by the polls, by the media, by the candidates themselves, by everything

going into it, by history itself. We expected a red wave, and all of those things conspired against us to give us a false

sense of where we were at, especially history itself. And what's happened now is it's a red trickle, if anything

We're probably going to win the House, but it's going to be by a super slim majority

And that sets the stage for a big problem for Kevin McCarthy

The Tea Party, or what used to be the Tea Party, is now called the Freedom Caucus

They're holding his feet to the fire, demanding concessions if he wants their votes for Speaker

Some have suggested that he should reach across the aisle to try and get some moderate Democrats

to jump on board. The problem with that is if you do that, those Democrats, they know they're ruining their

whole careers by going along with the Republican for Speaker of the House

They got to vote for a Democrat. So you have a situation

If he doesn't have enough votes, well then who does? Who can get enough votes

Well, there is one person who can get enough votes. The idea has been floated

I floated the idea as something that would be a nightmare scenario, but now it's actually

being talked about in Washington, D.C. The person that could get enough Democrat votes and a handful of Republican votes to

become Speaker of the House is Trump nemesis, Liz Cheney. So what I have to explain is you guys know she got voted out of office in the primaries

She's not going to be a member of Congress after the new class swears in in January 2023

So she won't be a representative anymore. How can she become the Speaker of the House if she's not in the House, right

Some of you may know this. Some of you may not. You don't actually have to be a representative to be the Speaker of the House of Representatives

You could be the Speaker. I could be the Speaker. Anybody can be the Speaker if they have the votes

There is no requirement that you are a member of the House of Representatives

Crazy, right? But it's true. Well, some Democrats have begun talking and some Republicans have begun talking behind

the scenes, according to Politico. And they're talking about a Speaker Liz Cheney scenario

The Democrats would love to stick it to Trump just by doing that

And the Republicans, the handful of rhinos and never Trumpers, they would love to do

the same thing. You get the ones that voted for his impeachment that are still members of the House

You get the ones that were never really on board to begin with. And you have a recipe for a Speaker Liz Cheney

Right now, Kevin McCarthy is hanging on for dear life. And every House seat that does go to the Republicans as they emerge to hopefully win the House

and take the majority, every single one he adds on to that helps his chances of becoming Speaker

And if he doesn't, if he doesn't get those votes, then anything is possible
