0:08
shaken Congress before we get started

0:30
out former Congressman Matt Gates he had
0:34
a lot to say this weekend when he was at
0:36
a talking points USA or tpusa I should
0:40
say conference America Fest
0:43
2024 and I'll get into that in another
0:46
video but what happened on Monday
0:49
morning was shocking a day before
0:53
Christmas Eve Congress decided they
0:56
wanted to release the ethics report on
0:58
Matt Gates now I'm not going to get in
1:01
to what is in the ethics
1:03
report I think
1:05
that there are things in there that are
1:07
truly troubling if
1:10
true but they were done in an Ethics
1:12
report not in a court of law where Matt
1:13
Gates gets to defend himself and so
1:16
we've seen too much in recent times of
1:19
things that are not true like the Russia
1:21
Russia hoax to just believe something at
1:24
face value when you know Matt Gates has
1:26
a ton of enemies in Congress so I'm not
1:29
willing to just sign off and and grab a
1:32
stone and start condemning Matt Gates
1:34
until I know the veracity of the claims
1:37
in those reports that being
1:40
said Matt Gates filed a lawsuit early
1:44
Monday to stop that release why would
1:46
you do it a day before Christmas Eve why
1:50
would you what's the reasoning behind
1:52
that Congress what's the reasoning
1:55
behind that you know what the reasoning
1:56
is so Matt Gates filed a lawsuit it has
1:59
yet to be
2:00
adjudicated but parts of what's in the
2:03
ethics report have already leaked to CBS
2:06
to CNN and and and by leaked we know
2:09
what happened right we know how they
2:11
found their way out of congress's hands
2:13
and into the reporter's hands right
2:15
wasn't the magic leak fairy that did it
2:18
so they've leaked to to various news
2:21
organizations and I'm not going to lie
2:24
the details are troubling but are they
2:26
true again I'm not willing to take
2:28
anything at face value if they're true
2:31
then it's appalling it's shocking and
2:34
appalling but if they're true is a big
2:38
if so Matt Gates filed this lawsuit and
2:41
now we got to see how it plays out but I
2:43
want you to take a look at this video
2:44
and let me know what you think in the
2:46
comments bring drugs to the meetups so
2:49
all of this is being put together at the
2:51
same time Matt Gates is uh denying this
2:56
he is saying uh a few days ago on X he
2:59
wrote in my single days I often sent
3:01
funds to women I dated even some I never
3:03
dated but who asked I dated several of
3:06
these women for years I never had sexual
3:08
contact with someone under 18 any claim
3:11
that I have would be destroyed in court
3:13
which is why no such claim was ever made
3:15
in court the justice department did look
3:17
at this they chose not to charge him
3:18
that is why the house Ethics Committee
3:20
was then able to pick up this
3:21
investigation Matt Gates has already
3:23
gone to court on his own this morning
3:25
Kate he has sued the committee to try to
3:28
stop the public release of the this
3:30
report that has been obtained by CNN uh
3:33
and he's claiming defamation and an
3:35
invasion of privacy there he's also
3:37
putting in that lawsuit that his
3:39
attorneys had sent the committee or he
3:42
had sent the committee denials of these
3:44
things that they found the whole laundry
3:46
list prostitution statutory rape elicit
3:48
drug use impermissible
