hey ladies and gentlemen this is Carmine
0:01
Saia 4 explain America and Laura Trump
0:04
has made a remarkable decision about her
0:07
future she's not going to do it but then
0:12
she has something else to say that's the
0:14
part you want to hear before we get
0:17
started please make sure you like

0:35
really helps us out Laura Trump who was
0:38
heading the RNC and did a remarkable job
0:42
heading the
0:43
RNC has been her name has been bandied
0:46
about as a possible replacement for
0:48
Marco Rubio as the Republican senator
0:50
from Florida personally I would have
0:53
loved to see that but late last night
0:56
she withdrew her name from contention
0:58
now the word is
1:00
is that Florida Governor Ronda santis
1:02
really didn't want to appoint her he
1:04
didn't want to make it look bad you know
1:07
that nepotism thing no matter how
1:09
qualified she is he just didn't want us
1:10
to look like that but what she said
1:13
was she's got a big announcement coming
1:15
in January and stay tuned now that could
1:18
be a lot of things does she have a new
1:20
show coming on cable
1:21
TV it's possible she's great on camera
1:25
but I think there's something else see
1:27
she's from North Carolina
1:30
ATA and there's been some talk about her
1:33
going back home and campaigning for the
1:36
Senate there where she'd actually have
1:37
to win the seed and I think she win a
1:41
landslide see because Lara's been really
1:43
popular she's been one of our best
1:44
Republicans and I think that she could
1:47
do it so is that the
1:49
announcement I tend to lean towards
1:52
she's going to either take on a role in
1:54
the
1:55
administration or maybe she's got her
1:57
own show I I I believe it's going to be
1:59
her own show that's my personal opinion
2:02
look people love her on Fox news she's
2:04
great she looks great in front of the
2:05
camera she's very smart she knows what
2:08
she's talking about and she's a fighter
2:10
it'd be great to have her on a network
2:12
like Fox and I'd love to see it I want
2:14
you to watch this video on it though and
2:16
let me know what you think in the
2:17
comments great to see you uh I assume
2:20
that you have had a busy couple of days
2:23
uh let's start with the latest bit of
2:25
transition news Lara Trump Donald
2:27
Trump's daughter-in-law announced last
2:29
night that she's removing herself from
2:31
consideration to be appointed uh to the
2:33
US Senate this of course is the seat
2:35
that's being vacated by Marco Rubio it's
2:37
no secret that she was the incoming
2:39
president's preference so what do you
2:41
think
2:43
happened I'm not sure but I think it's
2:45
an interesting move because you know
2:47
this if if Lara Trump were the one to be
2:49
appointed to this Florida senate seat it
2:50
would have ensured a magga trump voter
2:54
in the Senate and as we just saw with
2:56
this Government funding debacle every
2:57
vote is really going to matter in in the
3:00
next Congress especially when we're
3:01
talking about reconciliation when
3:03
Republicans are going to be have to be
3:04
near unanimous so this was a fascinating
3:07
you know development but I'm now curious
3:09
to see who ends up getting that seat is
3:11
going to be an interesting choice for
3:12
Florida Governor Ronda Sanz let's also
3:15
note that we know that DeSantis and
3:16
Trump have had their animosity in the
3:19
past they have since mended fences but
3:21
they've had that animosity in the past
3:23
so it would have been interesting for
3:25
DeSantis to have to think about how to
3:27
consider these choices when Lara Trump
3:28
was in the mid you know definitely a
3:30
tough choice especially when you
3:31
mentioned that was um Donald Trump's
3:33
preference how would he tow that line if
3:35
he maybe didn't want to go with Lara
3:37
Trump but felt pressure to so her taking
3:39
her out of herself out of consideration
3:41
is a very interesting development here
3:43
and I'm curious to see now where the
3:44
decision process goes from here all
3:47
right and uh as we were talking about
3:48
before the government shutdown uh has
3:50
been averted after
3:56
