Doug M Hoff gave a speech for Christmas
0:43
and Hanukkah which fell on the same day
0:46
this year and I I find that apropo
0:49
because I don't remember Christians and
0:51
Jews ever being as United in my lifetime
0:54
as they are right now and it's a
0:56
beautiful thing uh we have to in my
0:59
opinion defend the state of Israel they
1:01
are a Force for good in the world and
1:05
they're fighting the enemies of
1:06
civilization it's that simple mhof gives
1:09
a speech and he says you know he
1:11
thought the toughest part of being her
1:14
husband when she got elected as vice
1:16
president was going to be that he's the
1:18
first man in that role but he says that
1:21
wasn't the toughest part for him now the
1:23
toughest part for him was being the
1:25
first Jewish person in that role and
1:28
then he goes on to praise how his wife
1:30
you know allows him to express his faith
1:34
you know openly and honestly and and not
1:36
be ashamed I'm not going to get into
1:38
what I think of how mhof presents
1:41
himself as a Jewish person it's not of
1:43
my business and I'm not going to get
1:46
into you know any of his personal stuff
1:49
but I am going to get into the fact that
1:51
uh Mr mhof your wife was part of the
1:54
administration that has made this nation
1:56
really tough on Jewish people right now
1:59
she has ended the
2:00
indefensible I haven't seen her give a
2:03
strong condemnation of anything in fact
2:06
she condemned Israel for the way it's
2:08
been treating Gaza now of course she she
2:12
condemned the terrorist attacks of
2:14
October 7th was the least she could do
2:16
and she did in fact she did the least
2:19
and then she releases a
2:22
video during the campaign basically
2:25
talking about the atrocities of Gaza and
2:28
how she's going to get the Jewish you
2:30
know State you know accountable she
2:33
going to hold them accountable for what
2:35
they're doing in the Gaza Strip she ran
2:37
that ad in a majority Muslim market then
2:41
goes to a predominantly Jewish Market in
2:44
Pennsylvania runs an ad where she stands
2:46
with Israel and what they're doing in
2:48
the Gaza Strip two completely different
2:50
messages for two completely different
2:52
audiences because she's
2:54
disingenuous Donald Trump took a
2:56
decisive stand to stand with Israel he
2:59
didn't mince words he didn't go to
3:01
Michigan and say oh you know I stand
3:03
with the the you know Palestinians and
3:06
Gaza he didn't do that because he just
3:08
says what he believes
3:11
in that's
3:13
important it's important for a
3:15
politician gosh I don't know to say hey
3:18
this is what I believe in this is where
3:20
I stand your wife your wife didn't do
3:25
that Mr
3:27
mhof and as a Jewish person I don't know
3:30
how that doesn't bother you I don't know
3:33
how any of this doesn't bother you I
3:35
want you to watch his little video here
3:37
and let me know what you think in the
3:39
comments I thought coming into this role
3:42
that being the first guy ever would be a
3:45
big deal but it really turned out being
3:47
the first Jew was a big deal and I took
3:52
that as a responsibility I feel and felt
3:56
very
3:56
accountable uh being the first Jew
3:59
person in this role and with that
4:02
accountability and responsibility meant
4:05
action the other thing that I did with
4:08
your help was to live my faith which is
4:11
different from hers but with her support
4:14
openly and proudly
4:18
joyfully and without fear
