Guys, Kamala Harris, oh Kamala Harris, things are not looking great for her
0:42
And I have a lot of proof of that actually with internal polling and little kind of clues that the Harris campaign has given away
0:50
All the polling you're seeing, national polling, that's real great. That includes a lot of California and New York. Swing state polling, however
0:59
not so good for her. In fact, her campaign's getting very nervous about what they're seeing
1:05
Now, these are polls that I can't release to the public, but trust me on this
1:10
it's not what you're hearing on television. Trump, I believe, is either
1:17
slightly ahead or significantly ahead in these swing states. I don't want to get too much into
1:22
the details here, but what I will tell you is that Don Lemon pointed out, Don Lemon pointed out
1:28
mind you, when he appeared on MSNBC, that there is a particular voting bloc, and that is Black
1:35
men and Black people in general, that are not so enamored with Kamala Harris, that a lot of them
1:41
are leaning towards former President Donald Trump. This is not a common thing for Republicans. It's
1:46
very uncommon, but they know a BS artist when they see it, just like any other human being
1:52
knows a BS artist when they see it. And I'm not saying that Trump's going to win the Black vote
1:57
that's insane. It's not going to change in one election to that degree, but he only needs to win
2:04
enough of it to shake the entire election. Now, you couple that with the votes he's getting from
2:09
the RFK supporters, I see an election victory for Trump unless things change drastically in the next
2:15
couple months. Take a look at this report from a gobsmacked and stunned Don Lemon, and let me know
2:21
what you think in the comments. Let's talk about your trip traveling across the country, because you were traveling across the country on the way to Chicago, where you were, and we'll talk about that too
2:30
You interviewed a lot of people. What are some of the things or trends that surprised you about some of those conversations
2:36
Well, I don't know if it was surprising, but it was certainly eye-opening to hear so many people, even people of color and women
2:42
saying that they are going to support Donald Trump. I'm not quite sure that the polls are accurate as it
2:48
relates to the tightening of the polls and who's going to support whom. And right-wing media
2:53
when I released my content, they said, oh, Don Lemon was shocked or Don Lemon was surprised at the
2:58
answers that he got. But there were a lot of black men, Jen, who said that they were supporting Donald
3:04
Trump simply because he gave them a stimulus check. He gave them $1,200 back when he was president
3:11
They did not somehow remember that the current president also gave them a stimulus check
3:17
except that his name wasn't on it. So I had to remind them time after time that the check did
3:22
not come from Donald Trump, that it came from a Democratic Congress, and he actually slowed it up
3:27
in order to have his name on the check. So when they got the check and his name was on it, they
3:33
automatically thought that it came directly from Donald Trump, which I think is good marketing
3:37
It's the same as he does for buildings around the country, especially in New York. He doesn't
3:41
actually own them, but he puts his name on them, and it makes people think that he owns them, and it actually makes them think that he is richer and bigger and more benevolent than he is
3:48
DESVARIEUX Was there anything, what did they think about Harris? Did they have anything to say about her
3:53
BOOKER They did have, listen, it depends on where you are. We went to a number of different battleground states in Pennsylvania
4:01
Ohio. We were in Michigan, Indiana, on our way, obviously, Illinois, on our way to Chicago
4:08
And it sort of depended on where you were. Pennsylvania, well, I shouldn't say Pennsylvania
4:12
say Philadelphia, was a bit more liberal, and the answers to the questions about her and him
4:19
were quite different. But for the most part, in Pittsburgh or at the Jersey Shore and Atlantic
4:26
City, in Ohio especially, many people did not know who she was, right? They weren't familiar
4:33
with her. So I think she has to reintroduce herself to the public. But for him, I think
4:38
that they thought that he's better for the economy. And that, again, that he gave them
4:43
that he brought money into the community, or that he was on black people's side. And so, listen
4:49
I wasn't surprised by that. I've been doing this long enough to know that you never know where
4:53
people are going to fall, how they're going to vote. That's their own personal prerogative
4:58
But I think it's important for them to understand and to go into the voting booth with some
5:04
knowledge, that they're informed as an electorate. And for all the reasons that they were telling me
5:10
the information was all false. And they didn't understand the correct reasons why they might
5:15
vote for him. Yeah, it's a reminder. I mean, you've called Donald Trump a racist on television
5:20
You're talking to all these people out there. You still feel that way? Yes. I think I was the first person to finally say it. And I think I was the first person to say
5:27
that he was lying because people were afraid to say it. And I said, why don't we just call it
5:31
what it is? Why don't we call it a lie? Why don't we call it racism? And I wasn't just saying it
5:37
because it was an opinion. Anytime I said something like that on television, I backed it up with facts
5:42
and I gave people examples of the reasons that I was saying those things. Of course, I think he's
5:49
racist. All you have to do is look at his rhetoric. All you have to do is look at his track record
5:52
And anyone can see that. Go on. No, keep going. Keep going
6:00
So, I mean, anyone can see that. And so I don't think that that was odd or something that was bold
6:06
Yeah. So I do think that he's racist. Is it surprising to me that so many African-Americans
6:10
are supporting him? A bit. But I also think that people tend to romanticize the past. And even
6:18
though by most metrics, the economy is doing better and it's on fire, what people do is they
6:24
vote with prices. They vote with their wallet. So maybe the economy is better. Both can be true
6:30
The economy can be better, but prices are higher and people have less money and have less resources
6:35
to put towards those high prices and to feed their families. So, you know, we talk a lot about
6:40
low information voters. I like to call them low partisan information voters because many of the
6:48
people I spoke to were not sitting in front of a television every single day and every single night
6:52
following every micro breaking news development about Donald Trump and about what's happening in
6:58
politics. But they were quite aware of what they were doing for their families, how much or how
7:05
little money they had in their pockets. And I think that they vote on that and not necessarily
7:10
what they see on television. As a matter of fact, I was surprised I asked people where they got their news from, how did they keep informed
