Hey ladies and gentlemen, this is Carmine Sabia
0:02
for Explain America, and it looks like the deck is stacked against Donald Trump
0:06
and this is actually very dangerous and very, very frightening. Before we get started, please make sure you like

So one of the little reported things about the indictment of Donald Trump from Tuesday
0:24
by Jack Smith is who the judge is on this case. See, judges are very important to cases like this
0:33
Judges can decide what evidence gets allowed and what evidence isn't allowed
0:37
Judges can be favorable to the prosecution, or they can be favorable to the defense
0:42
or they can call it down the middle. This judge, she tends to be very tough
0:50
on people that were involved in January 6th, and they're charging Trump with crimes
0:56
related to January 6th. She's actually known as the toughest punisher of people who were involved in the January 6th incidents
1:05
She's actually gone as far as to give jail sentences when the prosecution, the Department of Justice
1:13
did not request jail sentences. They requested probation or something else. She'll give jail sentences
1:18
So she's given sentences harsher than what the Department of Justice has asked for on several occasions
1:24
and given what they asked for on several other occasions. Literally the toughest punisher
1:29
in this whole thing with January 6th, but it actually gets worse than that for Trump
1:35
because if you go back into her history, she actually worked for a law firm
1:40
and it was the same law firm that Hunter Biden worked for
1:45
So now she's got ties to Hunter Biden. We don't know if they've ever spoken a word to each other
1:50
We don't know that. We don't know if they interacted with each other. We do know they worked for the same law firm
1:56
and this law firm has taken on some controversial and high-profile cases
2:02
The point here is is that you have a judge who's known as the harshest punisher
2:07
of January 6th defendants, who has worked for the same law firm as Hunter Biden
2:12
and she's gonna sit as the judge in the case on Donald Trump. I mean, you can't make this up
2:16
This is a movie. This is a movie about some third-world banana republic nation
2:22
where this kind of stuff happens, where you stack the deck against your political opponents
2:27
and then put them in prison. It's absolutely crazy, and when I watched Jack Smith on Tuesday
2:34
I was struck by how much he looked like a politician himself
2:38
how much he looked like this was personal for him with Trump, that he really just wanted to put the screws to Donald Trump
2:44
and that, to me, it gave me pause for what awaits Trump
2:51
I'm not sure if he can get a fair trial in Washington, D.C., and with this judge
2:56
I think he's gotta be even more concerned than he was before. Not saying anything negative about the judge
3:01
She might be a great judge, but she's definitely tough, and she's definitely no-nonsense
3:06
and she's definitely a harsh punisher of January 6th defendants, and judging by some of her decisions
3:13
and again, I can't get in her mind. I can't tell you what her thoughts are
3:18
Unlike Jack Smith, I can't know what people think, but judging by her decisions
3:23
and some of the rulings she's penned, doesn't seem to be a very big fan of Donald Trump
3:28
That makes it very tough, and it makes this case very tough, and if I were Trump, I'd be very concerned
3:33
but I wanna know what you guys think about it, so please let me know in the comments. Also, make sure you like, share, and subscribe
3:39
because again, that really does help us out, and we do appreciate it so much
