Jim Jordan Reveals First Thing He Would Do As House Speaker — And It's PERFECT

Hey ladies and gentlemen this is Carmine Sabia for Explain America and Jim Jordan

is now the odds-on favorite to become the next house speaker and he's just

revealed what his first act would be. Before we get started please make sure

you like, comment, share, and subscribe. Particularly liking and sharing really help us out and we really do appreciate it. And really those little things they

help our small channel continue to grow. So Jim Jordan was talking to Fox News

host Maria Bartiromo and this is at a point when he was not the odds-on

favorite. It was him versus Scalise. Scalise has since dropped out of the

race and she asked him what his first directive would be if he were made house

speaker. Which is I think a great question. I think it's the people want to

know and I think the people in your caucus want to know. And it's about time

the Republicans pick a speaker. We have to get going with this. So Jordan gave

his answer and honestly I support it. Let's take a look. People were fighting

for the things they care about that will make a difference for our great country

As Speaker of the House what would be your direction in the face of war in the

Middle East right now? We are looking at a candidate yourself and Steve Scalise

vying for the job. You know President Trump has endorsed you. He wrote on Truth

Social over the weekend that he would like to see you as Speaker of the House

But tell me what your first directive would be as Speaker. To help the State of

Israel. There will be some resolution on the floor to support the State of Israel. We will consult with Chairman McCaul. We will consult with the Senate. We'll work

with the State Department and the White House. But that is something

I think gets bipartisan, bicameral, full support from the United States government. Because again this is our great friend and great

ally in the State of Israel. So I think that's front and center. And then frankly the next order of business is to deal with what's coming on November 17th

And I will outline a plan that I think we have to have. When we walk out of that

room next week we got to have 218 votes for a Republican Speaker. And we got to

have 218 votes for how we deal with with November 17th when the when the funding

bill for the government runs comes due. We need to have a plan for how we're

going to deal with that. And I will outline that in front of my colleagues on on Tuesday when we get together. You have been talking with many of your

colleagues over the weekend. Steve Scalise is also asking colleagues for their support. Can you give us a sense of whether or not you feel you can you

have those votes? We've got amazing feedback and incredible feedback. At a time of war

it's important to know who your friends are. Israel needs our help right now and

I'm behind that a hundred percent. This is not Ukraine and Russia which is a

much messier situation. This is a terrorist attack where you slaughtered civilians. There is a definite line here of good and evil and the United

States has to be on the side of good whenever and wherever it can. This is one

of those times. Israel has been a great partner to us. They're not just a country

that takes from us. They give in terms of intelligence, in terms of intervention

all kinds of things. Israel's always been there for us and we should be there for

Israel. I want to know what you guys think about this so please let me know in the comments. Also please remember to like, share and subscribe because it

really helps us out. I'm Carmine Sabia. This is Explained America. We love you

guys. God bless you. Take care everybody
