I'll Kick Your A**' - Chaos In The House As McCarthy Gets In Swalwell's Face

Hey ladies and gentlemen, this is Carmine Sabia for Explain America

And things got really crazy in the House of Representatives with House Speaker and Republican California Representative Kevin McCarthy

almost coming to blows, to fisticuffs, with Democratic California Representative Eric Swalwell

So, here's what happened. According to reports, Eric Swalwell was furious with the Republicans for censuring Adam Schiff

Now, let's go back a few weeks. You remember that Adam Schiff in June

got censured because of a motion brought by Anna Paulina Luna, a Republican Representative

and he got censured for spreading lies, really, about what he knew

about the, quote, Russian collusion of Donald Trump for more than a year, two years

He would go on television and say he had evidence that he couldn't show everybody else

but that it existed and that he saw it. Well, he's never produced it

and so he got censured for that. Now, fast forward to the censuring of Adam Schiff

Eric Swalwell goes over to McCarthy and says that he's a weak man for doing that

that he's a weak man and he walks away. Now, fast forward a few days later

Eric Swalwell is about, well, the whole of Congress. The House of Representatives and the Senate are about to be addressed by the Indian Prime Minister

but before that address happens in that joint session, Eric Swalwell leaves to go to the bathroom

Kevin McCarthy follows him, confronts him, and says to him, basically, don't you ever say something like that again

I should, you know, I should fight you right now, is essentially what he's saying. I'm not quoting him directly

And so, you know, Swalwell gets kind of, he's like, are we going to do this right now

Like, he's getting, not tough, but like backing down from McCarthy. And then McCarthy says to him, I'll kick your bleep, you know

if you ever call me that again. And he used the P word there

But the I'll kick your butt, I'll insert the word butt there

I'll kick your butt was absolutely said by McCarthy. And apparently, according to the reports

it appears Swalwell backed down from him. Now, Kevin McCarthy, I like him, great guy

but you gotta be pretty weak to back down from Kevin McCarthy, in my opinion

He doesn't look like a bruiser from where I stand. That being said, of course

the halls of Congress are not a place to fight, but I mean, how many of us have ever wanted to walk up to Eric Swalwell

and tell them something of that nature? I'll leave it at that

Probably a lot of people. Well, Kevin McCarthy did it. And I gotta say, there are things I disagree with Kevin McCarthy on

but this one, go Kevin. Folks, again, I'm Carmine Sabia and this is Explain America
