'I Will Never Forgive' Him - Geraldo Reveals Which Cohost Got Him Fired From 'The Five'

Hey ladies and gentlemen, this is Carmine Sabia for Explain America, and Geraldo Rivera

appeared on The View and he had a lot to say about why he was fired, who was responsible

for him being fired from The Five, and his thoughts on Tucker Carlson, and they weren't kind

So Geraldo Rivera appeared on The View on Thursday, and it must have felt like home

sweet home to him. When he was announced on the show, when Whoopi Goldberg introduced him, the fans cheered

wildly as they said he's left Fox News after more than two decades

Of course, The View audience is not a Fox News audience. You know, not really

I mean, I'm sure there's some people that watch both, but not really a lot if you judge

by A, the things that are said on the show, B, the things the crowd reacts to, and C

the ratings. So if you look at all that, probably not really much of a Fox News crowd, but an anti-Fox

News crowd, absolutely. And to welcome somebody who is now, you know, no longer the enemy, oh they love it

So Geraldo gets into a whole thing on there about Tucker Carlson, but the first thing

he talked about was his departure from The Five. So he said he was fired from The Five because he had a quote, toxic relationship, end quote

with one of the co-hosts of the show. He clarified, he got even further, and he said it was a male co-host, which now leaves

it to Jesse Waters and Greg Gutfeld. Now I don't know, I've seen Geraldo have back and forth with both of those men, but me personally

I think I've seen him have much more heated interactions with Greg Gutfeld than he's had

with Jesse. So I think, in my opinion, I'm guessing, right, we're going to guess here, I'm guessing that

it's Greg Gutfeld. I want to know who you think it is though, let me know in the comments

Please, he also went on to say that he liked Trump personally, he thought that Donald Trump

had a very nice presidency, a very good presidency actually, and accomplished a lot, but he would

never vote for him and never did vote for him. Which I kind of find interesting because he says he was Trump's friend at the time he

ran for president, and with friends like that, you know, that won't vote for you

You know, I mean, come on, that's not really much of a friend, but be that as it may

He then went on to Tucker Carlson, and what he said about Carlson, that was rather interesting

He said he would never forgive Tucker Carlson for the way he covered the January 6th incident

at the Capitol. So I have my own issues with this, because I think that Geraldo has taken shot after

shot after shot after shot at Tucker Carlson, and Carlson hasn't said anything back

Carlson has been quiet about Geraldo, he's not hitting him back, which is not typical

Tucker Carlson, but I think he's playing it smart here, because I think Geraldo's trying

to pick at him so that Tucker will get into a feud with him or an argument with him on

Twitter, which would only raise Geraldo's profile and help Geraldo to get more exposure

Tucker Carlson doesn't need any help from Geraldo Rivera. So he went on to say that he thought that Tucker was a great writer, and that his show

was good before the November 2020 election. And then after that, apparently he believes Tucker got involved in all kinds of conspiracy

theories and kind of whack job things that don't really fit with news the way Geraldo

sees it. Of course, Geraldo opened Al Capone's vault and found basically dust to a national audience

that tuned in after this huge build, so I don't know if I'd trust Geraldo about what

is and isn't newsworthy. But I want to know what you guys think about this whole thing
