hey ladies and gentlemen this is Carmine
0:02

0:07
the next move for vice president kamla
0:10
Harris is before we get started please

0:34
we now have an idea of what the next
0:36
move for Camala Harris is going to be
0:38
see there's two schools of thought here
0:40
now one is that she could run for
0:43
governor of California and the other is
0:46
that she could run for president of the
0:47
United States in 2028 now there's a
0:50
large portion of people that believe she
0:52
didn't get a fair shot in 20128 because
0:54
her campaign was rushed and they believe
0:57
that she'll do better in the next
0:59
election sorry 2024 that she'll do
1:01
better in
1:03
2028 problem if she were to not win the
1:06
nomination for the Democrat Party
1:08
because it won't be an open field it's
1:09
not going to be a coronation this time
1:11
she's going to actually have to earn it
1:12
well if that were to happen and she lost
1:15
then that is a disastrous end to her
1:18
political career losing in the primary
1:21
you don't want to have that the other
1:23
option is governor of California which
1:26
she would likely win in a
1:27
landslide and then that could build her
1:30
case for presidency in
1:32
2032 or
1:35
2036 gives her a whole new identity as a
1:38
candidate although it is 4 to eight
1:41
years in the future even still she
1:43
wouldn't even be 70 yet in in in the not
1:46
the next election but the one after that
1:48
so you're talking about
1:49
2036 so I see that as the most plausible
1:53
and that seems to be exactly what the
1:56
people in her Inner Circle are pushing
1:57
her for go for California rebuild it
2:01
don't usually see somebody come from
2:02
vice presidency take a step down but in
2:05
this case it could be a step down to
2:07
move forward and I could see that and I
2:09
think they see that as the most
2:11
plausible opportunity she could prove
2:14
she's not a radical in that time which
2:16
you know would be a a facade but still
2:19
um I want you to watch this story on it
2:21
though and let me know what you think in
2:22
the comments we haven't seen or heard
2:25
much from vice president KLA Harris
2:27
since she lost the election last month
2:29
but the Democratic party still reels
2:31
from Trump's Victory conversations
2:33
already happening about her next move
2:35
our Isaac do has brand new reporting
2:37
this morning that details how the vice
2:38
president is debating her future
2:40
including talk among her allies of a
2:42
potential run for governor that would
2:44
take a
2:45
2028 White House run off the table and
2:48
Isaac is back here at this table all
2:50
right so Isaac tell us what the
2:52
likelihood is of Harris running for
2:54
governor uh what she's been saying to
2:56
people over the last couple weeks donors
2:58
other supporters that she's been U
2:59
talking with is You Haven't Seen the
3:01
Last of Me I'm not going quietly into
3:03
the night advisers people close to her
3:05
are debating about what that means they
3:08
do not want her final official act ever
3:11
to be essentially certifying Donald
3:13
Trump's win over her especially four
3:15
years after January 6 and so they look
3:17
at this Governor's race in in California
3:19
in 2026 and it seems to them like a
3:23
layup essentially that she would
3:24
probably clear the field or mostly clear
3:26
the field and she would get to be
3:28
governor of California a good job right
3:30
it was good enough for Ronald Reagan
3:31
Arnold Schwarzenegger Jerry Brown uh and
3:34
but if she does that that means that she
3:36
couldn't turn around and run for pres
3:38
again in 2028 right she'd need to
3:39
essentially declare right away and that
3:42
is what it really comes down to because
3:45
there are people close to her who say
3:47
she didn't get a fair shot this uh this
3:49
year it wasn't it wasn't up to what she
3:52
could have done and look how well she
3:54
performed anyway she should get to go
3:56
again in 2028 and then there are ones
3:58
who say look with where things are with
4:00
Democratic party uh it she would not
4:03
have a clear field a cleared field
4:06
rather in the Democratic primary and
4:08
could lose the nomination and to come
4:11
off of 2024 into that would be really
4:14
terrible no question and with a second
4:15
run even be harder for Harris that's a
4:18
question as well
