hey ladies and gentlemen this is carmind
0:01

0:04

0:07
tougher before we get started please

0:28
absolutely free it really helps us
0:31
out guys it's been really tough for the
0:34
people at Fox and Friends and the reason
0:36
for that is because they're missing
0:38
somebody that's very dear and very
0:40
special to them and that person is of
0:42
course now former Fox and friend's
0:46
weekend host Pete Heth and they had a
0:49
tough time dealing with it this morning
0:50
it was their first episode without Mr
0:52
Heth who by the way is a great guy
0:56
and and they were feeling it and then
0:58
they started to talk about their own
1:00
emotions and and how they're going to
1:02
miss him when one of the post say you he
1:04
didn't die he just got a better
1:06
opportunity and it is a better
1:09
opportunity it's it's a much better
1:11
opportunity he's going to head the
1:13
Department of Defense provided he gets
1:15
confirmed which should be easy because
1:18
they're not going to listen I know you
1:20
guys are worried about this but even
1:21
Republicans that don't like Trump
1:23
they're not going to oppose all his
1:24
picks they're going to have to pick and
1:25
choose and we're going to have more on
1:27
that in another video cuz I think
1:29
Trump's going to get all of his picks
1:31
approved I really
1:32
do and so they were really feeling it
1:35
this morning and I want you to watch
1:36
this video it's very emotional but uh
1:39
you know absolutely let's send our
1:41
prayers and our best wishes to Mr heg
1:43
Seth and let's make America great again
1:45
I want you to watch this video and let
1:47
me know what you think in the comments
1:50
good morning and welcome to Fox and
1:51
Friends will Kane Rachel Campo stuffy
1:54
Joey Jones with us this morning good
1:56
morning good morning good morning so
1:58
good to have you here well you know
2:00
circumstances allow that I got to come
2:02
in and have a seat on the couch today
2:03
you took the secretary's seat today well
2:06
you know I did I have said for a while
2:08
now that I make a living out of filling
2:10
in for Pete Heth yeah uh but I think
2:12
that's a job I I would never want I
2:14
don't think I ever want that one Rachel
2:17
before the show started and I said I
2:18
don't know what to say yeah uh obviously
2:22
we have a lot to say uh obviously you've
2:25
seen probably most of us throughout the
2:26
week we've talked with you about our
2:28
friend our col League uh Pete eth who
2:32
has accepted nomination as Secretary of
2:34
Defense under Donald J Trump I think
2:37
throughout the morning we'll be
2:38
addressing it in various Fashions but
2:40
absolutely uh maybe the first place to
2:41
start with this is not necessarily where
2:44
the news might be but just to say look
2:47
I'm going to be honest I'm sad I know
2:50
that you're sad sad um I'm not sad
2:52
because Joey's here we love Joey um but
2:57
but obviously this this has been
2:58
something special we've been able to be
3:00
a part of for the past several years I
3:01
know you know the same thing because
3:02
you've been here when I'm out or
3:04
whatever it may be and to be able to
3:05
work with your friends is an absolutely
3:08
unique experience in life that you have
3:10
to cherish because it comes along very
3:12
rarely I remember you said a long time
3:14
ago long time ago you said it's going to
3:17
end guys it's lightning in a bottle I'll
3:20
tell you this I've watched you and
3:23
you're going you've been going through a
3:24
lot of emotions all week and I realized
3:26
that I have something that I didn't
3:29
realize that I had which is being a
3:31
military brat I'm used to you know
3:34
beginning and ends and beginning and
3:35
ends and so I'm handling it better than
3:38
will although we still miss you so much
3:40
Pete and and Joey don't we're really
3:43
happy to have you here today I don't
3:44
want to make you feel like we got to
3:46
love on Joey a little here that's hard
3:49
to sit in the seat today told him listen
3:51
guys he got he got an opportunity he
3:52
didn't die it's okay not dead and the
3:55
truth is Joey uh and you know this I'm
3:57
not saying this for your benefit I'm
3:58
saying for anyone watching you are one
4:00
of those friends you are one of those
4:01
people that that is a genuine friendship
4:03
and we hang out with outside of the
4:05
confines of a studio on television and I
4:08
just got to tell you I've been doing
4:09
this a long time I know you have to and
4:11
it just it isn't like this it just isn't
4:13
like this yeah it's interesting now need
4:16
go to x and see uh how I feel about Pete
4:18
and see how you guys feel and uh and
4:20
we'll probably talk about that later um
4:22
we absolutely will certainly happy for
4:24
him and I know he's going to uh he's
4:26
going to knock this out of the par well
4:28
this week has been um an interesting
4:30
week as well in the news and will why
4:32
don't you start us off with that here we
4:34
go let's get to it we begin with an
4:35
emotional first day in the trial
