'Have To Do It' - Elon Musk Makes Historic Decision

It's a really cool place to hang out. We'd love to have you there. All right. So this weekend, Elon Musk made an announcement

Actually, he made a few announcements. One of them was the new Twitter files, and we'll get to that in just a second

But he announced that he's getting rid of about one and a half billion

with a B, one and a half billion Twitter accounts. These are bots. These are fake accounts

These are people who haven't tweeted in years, people who are holding up names that other people wanted

that are not even using the service whose accounts are just sitting there languishing

So he's going to get rid of those accounts. That was huge. Another new feature that he says he's going to be adding is a view counter

So much like when you know how many people viewed your videos, you're going to have people read your tweets

And the reason he's doing that, he wants to show that Twitter's a lot more active than the mainstream media is saying

And you have to keep in mind, a couple of weeks ago, the mainstream media loved Twitter. They were all about Twitter. Twitter was great

Then Elon took over, stopped shadow manning conservatives. And now it's the most evil thing on the planet, according to some of these people

So he's going to be doing all that. In the meantime, he dropped Twitter files for this is the fourth installment

Twitter files, and it shows a lot of things. For starters, it shows that the banning of former president

Donald Trump came after pressure mounted from a lot of people and groups

including and not limited to former first lady, Michelle Obama, who tweeted that social media companies have to take action against the president

And it was not long after that, that Trump was booted from the platform

Now, Elon also this week got rid of a last week, technically got rid of James Baker

one of the men who was at the center of the Trump Russia collusion hoax in the FBI

then left the FBI and joined Twitter's legal team, so to speak

And he was instrumental not only in the Russia collusion hoax, but in the banning of the former president from the Twitter platform

So there's a lot of ridiculousness that was happening at Twitter that is not happening now

And I have Elton John and all these other people, these Hollywood types like we're leaving Twitter

They don't even know why they're leaving Twitter. I don't think I think they're just they're following like sheep

They're following the leader. They're following people. I tell them you got to leave Twitter

You got to leave Twitter. It's a it's a felon of misinformation. Those are my favorite things

Elton John said he was leaving because of the new misinformation being allowed on Twitter

And when Elon Musk asked him to show examples of the misinformation, he said nothing

So it's a game these guys are playing and Musk is not playing the game back with them

So I think a hat tip to him is in order for doing, you know, the right thing

for letting it be a fair free speech platform like it should be. Hey, folks, thanks for joining us again here today at Explain America
