Fox News Host Hammers FBI Chief: ‘How Do You Explain That?’

FBI director Christopher Wray got the smackdown when he appeared on Fox News and had to answer

Now, you guys know that quite often Brett Baier, well, he fails to rise to the occasion

You know, he can be an anti-Trumper and, you know, sometimes it seems like he's not really

on our team. And I think that's his way of still doing journalism

And what I mean by that is, you know, sticking with his liberal cohorts and still being able

to be friends with them by not crossing any lines. But what he did today, or yesterday rather, was he had Christopher Wray on the hot seat

and he asked him, he asked him point blank, you know, how you handled the Hunter Biden laptop

Do you think that was appropriate? And Wray, of course, you know, he had an excuse for that

Did you have, how you handle the differences between classified documents for President

Trump and President Biden? And he had an excuse for that. And then he asked him about, you know, their interference with social media companies

And when he had an excuse for that, you know, Baier held him to it

And he said, well, that's not what the Twitter files show. That's not what the Twitter files that Elon Musk released to the world show

But you know, and when I say he had an excuse for the things with Hunter Biden and Joe Biden

and how he handled, what he basically said was that the point he kept saying the department's not politicized and the men and women doing hard work

But he never really explained, he never really explained how Hunter Biden's laptop has been

treated the way it has. He never really got into that. He just kept saying, we're not politicized

We're not politicized. One thing I did find rather interesting was that he confirmed that the FBI does believe

and this is important, the FBI does believe that the COVID pandemic escaped from a lab

in Wuhan, China, that it was a lab leak, that it was not natural

I think most thinking people have come to that assessment on their own

Of course, intelligence agencies need to look at actual evidence. But the circumstantial evidence was overwhelming from the beginning

It just happened to be that somebody ate a bat that happens to be near this lab, like

right down the street from this lab where they study coronaviruses in bats

And that's where it escaped. The odds of that are astronomically, astronomically small

But that was the line that we were told for so long and we were conspiracy theorists if
