Hey ladies and gentlemen this is Carmine Sabia for Explain America and we got some big news
0:06
in the Georgia case that involves former President Donald Trump. It is a big deal and it will affect the president's case as well it appears

Those little things really help us out and they help our channel continue to grow
0:22
So an Obama appointed judge has made a decision but in his decision he left a little tidbit
0:28
there for former President Trump and others that are involved in the Georgia RICO case
0:34
So as you know Mark Meadows the former chief of staff for former President Donald Trump
0:40
had petitioned the court to move his case to federal court and his argument was that
0:44
he was acting within his duties as an employee of the executive branch of the federal government
0:49
when he contacted the Georgia Secretary of State to inquire about Georgia's election results
0:57
But a judge in the case again appointed by former President Obama he decided that Meadows
1:01
did not have standing. He said that what Meadows did fell outside of the responsibilities of his job and that
1:11
it was actually more political in nature and he said what the job of the chief of staff
1:15
is is to take care of the president's schedule to make sure he's not late for meetings to
1:21
end meetings quicker to keep him on schedule things to end meetings to keep him on schedule
1:28
things of that nature. So his argument was that Meadows was not acting within his job when he did what he did for
1:37
the former president in Georgia. But he did say in his order that this decision only applied to Mark Meadows
1:46
Well why is that important? It's important because it is also believed and actually been stated that former President
1:53
Trump will also seek to move his case to federal court and federal court gets it out of Fulton
1:59
County Georgia which is a huge advantage right from the beginning. Fulton County is not Trump country but more than that moving it to federal court gets
2:08
the television cameras out of the courtroom. Federal court does not allow television cameras in the courtroom
2:16
Fulton County Georgia does allow television cameras in the courtroom. And so you're talking about a trial that more people want to see than probably wanted to
2:23
see the OJ trial. I mean this would probably dwarf the television ratings of any trial in history ever
2:32
Everybody wants even if you're a supporter of Trump you want to see the trial if you're against Trump you want to see the trial everybody would want to see this trial and it would
2:40
become almost a circus atmosphere a show trial if you will. I think Trump is making a mistake here on this though
2:47
I think you stick those cameras in the courtroom you watch what they're doing to former President
2:53
Trump you let the people of America watch what they're doing to the former president
2:57
and I think Trump defeats Biden in a landslide if people actually look and see what's going on
3:04
I think it's actually a mistake to not have the cameras in the courtroom I think it's a mistake I would be demanding in federal court I still think it should go to federal
3:11
court but I'd be demanding cameras be allowed in and if both the defense and the prosecution
3:17
want the cameras and they may actually make the decision to do that
3:20
So if I were Trump I'd be begging for those cameras. I want to know what you guys think so please let me know in the comments also please remember
