Tucker Carlson went just ballistic, just ballistic last week, folks. He dropped January 6th footage that they never wanted you to see
0:40
He dropped footage, and it's only part of the story, but he dropped footage that
0:44
people did not want you to see for various reasons, and in doing so, he
0:49
tripled the 8 p.m. competition on MSNBC, tripled their ratings when he came in with a whopping
0:56
3.09 million total viewers. Worse than that, though, for CNN, he absolutely curb-stomped the 8 p.m
1:05
competition over at CNN, Anderson Cooper, by sextupling, sextupling their ratings. Now, if you don't know what that means, and I'm sure you do, it means he got
1:15
six times the viewers that they got in the same time zone. So, as you can imagine, CNN and MSNBC spent most of their week trying to
1:23
discredit Tucker Carlson to the paltry few people who were watching them
1:27
desperate to hang on to what audience they have left. And I think what's happening here, folks, is people want to
1:34
hear both sides of the story. They want to hear the truth, but in order to get the truth, you have to see everything
1:42
You have to hear everything. I'm not saying, and I'll never say to ignore the things that happened on January 6th
1:49
Was there violence on January the 6th? Absolutely. Were there people who did things they shouldn't have done on January 6th
1:57
Absolutely. Was it embarrassing for the conservative movement? Absolutely. But there were others
2:05
That wasn't the whole show. The vast majority of people, as has been documented, were peaceful
2:13
Now, any time there's a riot or something, of course, the rioters are at the airtime
2:19
whether it be a Black Lives Matter protest or an Antifa thing
2:23
If 90% of the people are peaceful and 10% are rioting, those 10% are going to get the media coverage
2:31
It's just the way it is. That's the way the media works. There's an old saying in the media, if it bleeds, it leads
2:37
But eventually people want the truth. Eventually people want to know both sides of the story
2:43
And then people are smart enough to form their own opinions. I know the media sometimes thinks that we need them to lead us
2:49
But we don't. We can form our own opinions after watching both sides of the story
2:53
I have my opinions about January 6th, and I'm sure you have yours. But one opinion that I think we can't ignore is the opinion of the American people
3:01
And they showed up in droves to watch Tucker Carlson and to ignore his competition
3:07
That may be a lesson to the other news channels. I doubt it is. But it may be a lesson to them to maybe stop focusing on just who you hate and start showing the truth, all of it, both sides of the story
3:19
Let's hear from everybody. Let's see everything. Maybe it's a lesson to them, or maybe they just want to stay woke and go broke
3:26
I don't know. But if they're in this to make money, they might want to take a page from Tucker's book
3:32
Folks, I want to thank you for joining us here today at Explain America. Again, remember to like, comment, subscribe, and absolutely share
