0:33
former vice president kamla Harris is
0:35
kind of like the herpes of politics just
0:38
when you think she's gone just when you
0:40
think you don't have to deal with her
0:41
anymore pop there she comes again in
0:45
your face see she got defeated handily
0:48
so handily in the 2020 primaries that
0:52
she didn't even make it to the first
0:53
primary election there wasn't even
0:55
ballots cast before she dropped out of
0:57
the presidential race and we thought she
0:59
was finished
1:00
but then Joe Biden picked her out of the
1:02
trash heat because he needed a female of
1:05
color which was her only real
1:06
qualification for that role and made her
1:09
vice
1:10
president and then she tried again to
1:14
become president this time
1:16
after interesting circumstances that saw
1:19
her take the place of her boss rocket it
1:22
to the top of the ticket without a
1:24
primary became the Democrat nominee
1:26
without a primary and got handily defeat
1:30
it by Donald Trump so you would
1:32
think that for most people this would be
1:34
a sign that your political career is
1:37
pretty much over right now you'd be
1:40
wrong you'd be wrong if you're Kamala
1:42
Harris because Kamala Harris she she
1:45
doesn't go away quite that easily
1:47
there's no real ointment to get rid of
1:49
her you know what I'm saying and so
1:51
she's going to keep coming around as
1:52
long as there's money to be made and
1:53
grifting to be
1:55
done and she was asked as she Ted the
1:59
fire damaged streets of California this
2:02
week if she intended on running for
2:06
governor into years now it's important
2:10
to note here that while she didn't say
2:13
yes she most assuredly didn't say no and
2:17
when a politician doesn't say yes or no
2:20
99 times out of a 100 that means yes I
2:24
know a lot of you don't follow politics
2:26
all the time or follow it as closely so
2:28
you may not know that but that's
2:30
old politician trick if they're not
2:32
willing to say no it's yes that's
2:36
generally how it works and a lot of
2:37
times when they actually say no it's
2:39
still yes as evidenced by when Joe Biden
2:42
was dropped out before that he was like
2:44
I'll never drop out and I told everybody
2:46
I knew he will not be the Democrat
2:48
nominee for president mark my words they
2:50
laughed at me I was right because you
2:53
got to be able to read the tea leaves
2:55
and not everybody can do that I've
2:58
studied politics almost 24/7 since I was
3:00
10 years
3:01
old that being said I think after
3:04
watching this video I'm pretty darn sure
3:06
she is going to campaign to be governor
3:08
of California but I could be wrong I
3:11
want you to watch this video and let me
3:12
know what you think in the comments
3:14
Harris has now visited both the
3:16
Palisades and Altadena it's a loss of of
3:19
a community the same as Altadena in
3:22
Altadena you're talking about families
3:24
who are third generation fourth
3:26
generation many of them when you're
3:27
talking about Black and Latino families
3:29
that was the first
3:30
place that in California a lot of black
3:33
and Latino folks were able to actually
3:35
own property when it comes to rebuilding
3:37
she said communities must be mindful
3:39
that these extreme weather events are
3:41
becoming less rare we have to have a
3:44
system that is not only about responding
3:47
during the crisis and after but we have
3:49
to build up the resources to deal with
3:52
the inevitability of it and figure out
3:54
how we can be resilient it's only been a
3:56
few weeks since she left office but the
3:58
former vp's trip to the fire zone as
4:01
people wondering if she may have
4:03
interest in a different job vice
4:05
president Harris you're back home in
4:06
California you're appearance here today
4:09
has some people wondering are you
4:11
planning to run for
4:12
governor I have been home for 2 weeks in
4:16
three
4:17
days my plans are to be in touch with my
4:20
community to be in touch with the
4:22
leaders and figure out what I can do to
4:24
support them and most importantly to
4:26
lift up the folks who are surviving this
4:30
extraordinary crisis and do what I can
4:33
do to to offer any assistance even if it
4:35
is a kind word along the
4:37
way and Harris was joined by County
4:40
Supervisor Lindsay Horvath Horvath was
4:43
asked how the former vice president now
4:45
a private citizen can help here and she
4:48
said that Harris really just wanted to
4:50
understand the need and try to figure
4:52
out how she can leverage her
4:55
relationships for good
