Hey, ladies and gentlemen, this is Carmine Sabia and this is Explain America
0:03
Welcome to the show. We have some big news coming out of Arizona today, actually monumental
0:08
election news. We're going to get right to that. But before we do, as always and ever, please make sure you like you comment
0:15
you subscribe and you share so important to the channel. It really helps us grow and helps get that conservative message out there
0:23
to the public. Also, as I said, follow us at Explain America on Facebook
0:27
Share some of the stories. You're going to find stories there that you don't find in the mainstream media
0:32
So please check us out. Maricopa County has agreed finally to launch an investigation
0:38
into the printer issues it had on Election Day. Now, if you're familiar, there was a lot of problems in Maricopa County
0:46
during Election Day, so many problems that Carrie Lake, who lost to now Governor Katie Hobbs
0:55
actually sued. Unfortunately, she was unsuccessful in the lawsuit. The judge dismissed the case because it's a very hard thing to prove
1:03
It's hard to prove a negative, right? And you can't prove that somebody didn't vote because of X, Y, Z
1:09
because you'd have to get that many thousands of people to say, I didn't vote because of that
1:14
They had people who went to court and did express things that happened to them
1:18
But most of them found other ways to vote. Some did not. Some didn't vote
1:23
Would it be enough to change the results of the election? Really? Who knows
1:28
But you could argue that Hobbs was at the same disadvantage. They were both up for election
1:33
So, you know, it's it's hard. It's hard to tell what actually happened
1:38
I will say that they will launch this investigation. And it's about time, because as you remember, this is not the first time
1:45
Maricopa County has been the subject of problems on Election Day. It happened in 2020 as well
1:52
Again, there's no reason to believe it changed the outcome of the election. But what it does is it starts to erode faith in the election system
1:58
for the people that are voting in that state. If there's a problem every single election
2:03
well, then that's going to be a problem, isn't it? You know, because it's hard as a person to say, well, I trust the voting here
2:09
and I trust that everything's fair and square. And I trust that there's no mistakes when there's mistakes
2:12
in two very serious back to back elections. And investigating it is fine
2:19
It has to stop happening. It has to stop happening. As far as Hobbs and Lake go, Hobbs just gave an interview at Rolling Stone
2:26
and she actually admitted that she thought Carrie Lake could have defeated her. In fact, what she said was it was Carrie Lake's campaign
2:35
that helped her win rather than or not as much as the message
2:40
She said if she had done a traditional campaign with a ground game and things of that nature, like normal politicians do
2:46
she said it could have been a very different outcome because that's what Hobbs did
2:49
Hobbs got the ground game. A lot of our MAGA Republicans that we love so much
2:55
they rely so heavily on the Internet TV radio that they forget the ground game
2:59
They do. They try to replicate what Trump did in 2016. But what Trump did in 2016, that can't be right
3:07
It can't be replicated by everybody. You know, Trump had a lot of TV airtime for free
3:12
He was given huge rallies and, you know, they had him on national TV
3:16
giving interviews all the time. People were hearing from him. When you're a local candidate or a statewide candidate
3:23
the battlefield's a little different. And unfortunately, she was, I think, advised poorly
3:27
And had she had a good ground game, I think Hobbs is correct. It could have been a very different outcome
3:31
Folks, thank you so much for joining us here today at Explain America. Again, I'm Carmine Sabia
