Hey ladies and gentlemen, this is Carmine Sabia for Explain America, and former President
0:04
Donald Trump just got fantastic news about his case with Jack Smith, and Mr. Smith, well
0:11
he got some really terrible news at the same time. Before we get started, please make sure you like, comment, share, and subscribe

Those little things really help us out, and they help our channel continue to grow
0:22
The attorney for Bernard Carrick, now you may remember him as the former New York City
0:27
Police Commissioner, and what a police commissioner he was. New York was not a cesspool of drugs and violence and assaults and all kinds of things that
0:36
are happening in that city now that weren't happening when Mayor Rudy Giuliani and Police
0:42
Commissioner Bernard Carrick were there. Be that as it may, Mr. Carrick, he's also one of the people that has been contacted
0:52
by Jack Smith's office. Well, as it turns out, in July, Jack Smith's office requested certain paperwork from Mr. Carrick
1:03
Now, they got that paperwork. They went ahead and indicted President Trump anyway, because that was the end goal from
1:09
the beginning, right? Jack Smith was hired to do a job, and he did that job. Period
1:15
We all know what job he was hired to do. I'm not going to get into it
1:19
You know. We all know what Jack Smith was hired to do. He did his job
1:24
Well, on August 2nd, the day Trump was arraigned, Jack Smith's office called Carrick's office
1:30
for those papers again. So apparently they didn't read them the first time, because if they had, the attorney for
1:37
Mr. Carrick says those papers are absolutely exculpatory. That is a direct quote
1:44
Absolutely exculpatory for President Trump. Totally clear his name. Because in these papers, according to Carrick's attorney, we haven't independently reviewed
1:54
these papers, obviously. We're not privy to them. But according to Carrick's attorney, these papers show that Mr. Trump and Mr. Giuliani
2:05
all believed that there were shenanigans in the election. That the 2020 election was not right down the middle and everything was copacetic with it
2:16
That's what they believed. Whatever you believe, I believe, the other people believe is irrelevant to this
2:23
Because what Trump is being accused of is acting on the fact that he believed there
2:31
were shenanigans with the election. Well, if you're indicting him for it and you're saying he knew, he knew that what he was saying
2:39
is false. According to Carrick's attorneys, these papers prove that he did not know that what he was
2:45
saying was false. These papers show that he believed what he was saying was true
2:51
Again, whether it is true or not is completely irrelevant. This is a matter of did Trump knowingly do things when he actually knew the election
3:01
was fair and square. That's what this is all about. This is all about Jack Smith trying to get into Trump's head and know what he was thinking
3:09
Well, you kind of can't do that, Jack. But besides that, there seems to be a mounting mountain of evidence, growing and growing
3:19
that Trump actually believed that there was an issue with the election, that he actually
3:23
believed it in his heart and soul. So if that's the case, well, that's a big, huge hole in Jack Smith's case
3:33
It's a hole so big that it could sink the entire case because the entire case is predicated
3:38
on this. Without that, you don't really have anything. So Jack Smith, he's going to have a lot of explaining to do when he gets to court
3:48
I think he's not going to have it as easy as he thinks, especially if there's anybody
3:55
on that jury that doesn't just absolutely hate Trump, which, I mean, it's Washington
4:00
D.C., so that's iffy. But I imagine, look, defense attorneys have a say in the jury selection process as well
4:08
So hopefully it's a fair jury. And if it is, Smith's in a lot of trouble
4:13
Folks, let me know what you think on this story in the comments. Also, please like, share, and subscribe because, again, it really helps us out
