Family with full bases, we have the pleasure of being here with Alex Verdugo

But, you know, coming over here, man, it's surpassed my expectations and, you know, it's really something that I'm proud to put on the Yankees, you know, uniform every day and represent this organization

And, you know, to play with these guys here, it's real special, man. These are some, you know, Hall of Fame type players and, you know, guys that had a lot of years in the big leagues

So, you know, just trying to be a fly on the wall in there and be myself

You have contributed to a lot of wins by this team. The fans are loving you. How is that interaction with the fans

We know that the Yankee fans are the best fans, but they can be hard. How is that interaction with them and the love they're showing you every time you come to bat

Yeah, no, I love it. I mean, they've been great with me, you know what I mean? I haven't had the booze or any of that

You know, I know if you're struggling a little bit, maybe you'll run across a few, but, man, it's just the nature of the beast, right

You know, and this fan base, they care a lot. So, for me, I just try to go out there, bust my butt, play hard and really just, you know, control what I can

And, you know, I feel like the fan base has really, you know, kind of taken to that

And if I'm not doing it offensively that day, I want to still be able to contribute defensively

Or, you know, if I get a walk, get on the bases, do something, I want to find a way other than just hitting to help the team win

Outside of balls and strikes, you have a swagger, you have a way to dress

And I think you have brought to the team something that the team probably didn't have

That style, the way you dress, the way you walk, the way you guys are making fun of. What do you think about that

Yeah, man, I think, you know, it's kind of like hats off to my teammates, right, to let me come here and just be myself

Exactly. You know what I mean? I don't have to act, try to be somebody I'm not or try to like hold my emotions in

I can really let them play out. And, you know, I feel like this game's hard, so we need to enjoy it

You know what I mean? We know there's going to be ups and downs and, you know, we're going to go on runs

We're going to lose a couple. But as long as you can keep that confidence internal and just, you know, stay at an even keel level, then you'll be fine

This is a new Yankee team podcast in Spanish, so I have to make this question to you

It's not a question, it's more of a request. Can you send a message to all the Mexican fans

They really, really love you, man. Go ahead, the camera is all yours

Yeah, you know, obviously, you know, being half Mexican, I appreciate all the love that I get from you guys

You know, I represent Mexico and Mexicans, you know, to the max

My glove is obviously got the color combo on it, on everything

And, you know, no matter what team I'm with, man, I'm always going to represent Mexico

And, you know, I feel like it's a great culture, great place. And, you know, the people, you know, just to me, man, they're amazing. Right

Like the energy that Mexicans bring. And I mean, you've seen it when Major League teams go to Mexico and play

It's nonstop the whole time. And, you know, for you guys to support me, have my back

And it means a lot, man. It doesn't go unnoticed. And I appreciate you guys

And, you know, we're going to keep going. I would say this in the two languages. I don't know if you know this, but this guy just got emotional talking about Mexico

This man here got emotional, his eyes went red talking about Mexico
