Family with with La Jolla Seenna, we have

with Freddie, Freeman, Freddy, thank you so much for the interview. Before this interview, you were just playing baseball with your son in the right field
0:09
Let me tell you, I'm a father. That was amazing. How's the feeling of sharing these moments with your son
0:15
Yeah, as I've gotten older, that's what it's all about for me. You know, I got three kids, one's old enough to come to the field
0:20
The other two are a little too crazy to come to the field right now, but he loves it, I love experiencing and giving him memories
0:25
I saw him hitting a lot of, a lot of balls over the right field fans
0:30
What do you think we have here? Maybe he'll be interviewing him one day
0:33
I don't know. He just loves the game. He loves playing. He loves practicing. So it's fun for us
0:38
That's the thing. It's fun for him. He loves it. It's not really anything. It's just something he enjoys
0:43
So maybe one day we'll be watching him play. No, my son too. He's playing, right
0:47
But I guess you and I were on the same page. We don't try to put pressure on them now
0:51
Just let them enjoy the game. But this is my next question. How important is for a baseball player
0:57
a superstar like you, to keep enjoying this game that like it is a kid's game
1:02
Yeah, I think that's what having kids has made me enjoy this game as much as I did before I having kids
1:09
That's the thing. It's a game. I know it's our job and there's a lot of stress that comes with it
1:14
But when you go out there and throw batting practice to your kids, it reminds you it's just a kid's game
1:19
And obviously you've got to perform and do well and do all that kind of stuff. But you try and kick yourself a little bit and remind yourself that it's a kid's game
1:26
and why you started playing this game for me 28 years ago, you know
1:31
So it's just a fun game to play. I enjoy it. I love it
1:34
And I don't think I'll ever stop enjoying it. How's that little dance, man
1:38
How is that little celebration on second base? How was that created And how much do you think that is helping having this chemistry in the clubhouse Well it started we had a Blue Diamond Gala and Usher was performing and you know Usher puts on a good show
1:56
So I was having a good time and I, yeah, and I got videoed having fun with my wife and all our teammates and their wives
2:02
And kind of went viral. And then the boys wanted to implement it on doubles and triples
2:08
So it kind of happened. And, you know, hopefully there's a lot of dancing going on in this series
2:12
That means we're doing good. It's been an amazing year for you. The competition for MVP, you, Mookie, Ronald, you guys seem to be enjoying this so much
2:22
More than, of course, everybody wants to be the MVP. You guys seem to be enjoying this
2:28
Yeah, I mean, no one's really, we're not fighting for winning the MVP. There's only one goal we have in mind, and that's to win the World Series
2:34
And if that happens, all the other stuff, I think it's, I think it's between Mookie and Rolin right now
2:38
I think I'm on the outskirts, which is just fine with me. I just want to help try and win the division and then win the World Series
2:44
And then if all that happens and you so happen to win an MVP, then that's just bonus
2:49
But I don't think Ronald Mookie, me, or anybody that's in the running is trying to win an MVP
2:53
You're just trying to help the team win as many games. And if you win it at the end, then you win it at the end
2:57
Finally, what would it mean to you to win a World Series with the Los Angeles Doyers
3:02
It means everything. That's every year you walk into spring training in February
3:06
That's your only goal. And that's why we play this game a year and year out
3:10
That's why we're kind of crazy. We keep trying to do it over and over and over again. So, you know, winning one in 2021 was obviously the coolest thing ever
3:17
And, you know, with these group of guys, hopefully we're going to do it here in L.A. Well, send a message to all of the Latino fans that are going to be watching this interview for you
3:24
There you go. That camera is all yours. Well, hopefully you get to see us dance a lot in the series and we can get a series win and maybe hopefully a sweep too
3:33
Freddie Freeman, para con la Valle Jena. Thank you, man. Appreciate it
