Haval Xiaolong/Xiaolong MAX New-Gen Hi4 Hybrid System.
Haval Xiaolong MAX Hi4 Hybrid System: On May 15, the Haval Xiaolong and Xiaolong MAX were officially launched in China. The Haval Xiaolong, a compact SUV, introduced three models with prices ranging from 139,800 to 156,800 yuan in the Chinese market. Meanwhile, the Haval Xiaolong MAX, positioned as a medium-sized SUV, also launched three models. Notably, the Xiaolong MAX became the first model to feature Great Wall Motors' new hybrid architecture, the Hi4 intelligent electric hybrid four-wheel drive system. The Haval Xiaolong and Xiaolong MAX showcase the latest design language of the Haval family. Their front faces are adorned with striking "7"-shaped headlights. While the Xiaolong boasts a closed front face typically seen in pure electric vehicles, retaining only the air intake below for a more concise appearance, both models exhibit a sense of strength with the double waistline design along the sides. The slightly downward sloping roof creates a coupe-style design, and the rear of the cars is adorned with a double-stage spoiler, high-mounted brake lights resembling pilot lights, and taillights that echo the headlight shape. The rear also features a hidden exhaust without decoration for a more streamlined look. The dimensions of the new cars measure 4600/1877/1675mm in length, width, and height, respectively, with a wheelbase of 2710mm. Inside the Haval Xiaolong, a dual screen design takes center stage, consisting of a 7-inch instrument panel and a 12.3-inch central control screen. The air conditioning controls adopt a light touch interface, which adds simplicity and beauty to the cabin. A hollow storage compartment is located at the bottom of the center console, providing increased storage space for the front row. The overall interior design exudes a youthful and sporty vibe. As for power, the Haval Xiaolong is equipped with a plug-in hybrid system comprising a 1.5L engine and a single front motor, generating a maximum power of 101 horsepower and a maximum torque of 132 Nm. The transmission system is paired with a 2-speed DHT gearbox. The electric driving range of the Xiaolong is 52km, while the hybrid driving range reaches 110km. On the other hand, the Haval Xiaolong MAX features a mesh structure grille design, complemented by sharp light sets that contribute to its distinctive shape. When viewed from the side, the bar-type waistline creates a visually elongated effect, and the car is fitted with 19-inch wheels. The rear design of the Xiaolong MAX is relatively simple, eschewing the bar-type taillights for a more individualistic appearance. The rear enclosure stands out in a different color from the body, accentuated with chrome-plated trim to enhance its sporty appeal. With dimensions of 4758 (4771)/1895/1725mm in length, width, and height, respectively, and a wheelbase of 2800mm, the Xiaolong MAX is positioned as a medium-sized SUV. Inside the Haval Xiaolong MAX, a three-screen design takes center stage, with all three screens measuring 12.3 inches. The central control screen is equipped with the new generation Coffee OS system and a Snapdragon 8155 chip. The co-pilot screen is dedicated to entertainment and can be independently connected to Bluetooth headsets. Under the hood, the Haval Xiaolong MAX is powered by the Hi4 intelligent electric hybrid four-wheel drive system, featuring a 1.5L engine and front and rear dual motors.
